Because I love you. Yeah, you, Catie. *hugs* Thank you for being my friend and my beta and my partner in crime. :3 And since you got me -into- this pairing, it's all for you, babeh~

The argument started over wine. Specifically that no bottle under at -least- twenty dollars was decent, and Tatsumi was just a tasteless penny-pincher if he thought otherwise. A bet was made, and that was how Watari came to be drinking out of several different glasses of wine in Tatsumi's kitchen.

The tasting had taken time... Tatsumi had pulled out twelve different bottles of different reds, a sampling that he assured Watari ranged from the most to least expensive wines.

"Which do you like best?" Tatsumi watched him, smiling a bit, sipping the single glass he had poured for himself.

He frowned a bit, taking another careful sip of the glass of Shiraz in his hand, letting it roll over his tongue slowly. Swallowing, he set his glass down. "It's a tie between that last one and this one." He pointed to another glass of red wine.

A deep chuckle made him look over at Tatsumi, raising an eyebrow. "What?

He nodded to the one that Watari had just set down. "Twenty-seven dollars." Tapping the rim of the other glass lightly, he smirked. "Two."

Watari blinked. "...Two dollars?" He frowned and picked up the bottle, trying to read the label, although the English text and the fact that he was already starting to feel the effects a little made it difficult. He squinted, going to adjust his glasses, realizing belatedly that Tatsumi had pulled them off a few seconds ago and was now nuzzling behind his ear lightly. "You only spent two dollars on this? Honestly?"

A light tug at the ribbon in his hair, and Tatsumi's fingers slid through it. "Mmnh."

He set the bottle carefully down, closing his eyes. "I stand corrected then."

Turning, he wrapped his arms around Tatsumi's neck. "Now. About that wager..."
