THE BLOOD OF JUSTICE
BY YODAMAN
"I SAID GIVE ME THE MONEY!" yelled Tom Jenkins. Tom was your typical New York crook- big, beefy, smelly, and a mix of smart and stupid. But this day, at midnight, this bank was his, and there would be no Spider-Man to stop him. So the clerk gave him the money and he ran away from the bank to his getaway car. But he heard a pitter-patter on his car. He turned around and saw a thick, green slime, which had an intoxicating odor and a sickly look. He looked up and saw a great, large, ghastly shape. It hissed a sinister hiss that sounded like it came from the devil's forked tongue itself.
Tom then ran as fast as he could away from the creature, but the creature pounced off the balcony and gave pursuit. The blood in Tom's body rushed to his head, making him feel like the whole world was going to collapse on him. All he could hear was his heartbeat; no cars, no people, and not even the creature itself. Just his heartbeat, which game him a beat to run by. He led the creature through the alleys and slums of New York City, so the creature might loose him. But the creature kept up with him constantly, and it nearly drove Tom mad. He ran faster. He breathed faster. He cried longer. He had the strange desire to live, even though not many people would consider his life worth living. But this desire kept him on going until he burned his legs off. Out of all the things in the world, a Pepsi can prevented Tom from surviving by allowing it to be tripped on by Tom, causing Tom to fall down. Tom then saw the face of the creature, which had a name. It was the Lizard, enemy of Spider-Man.
"You know", said the Lizard. He then unsheathed his claws and stuck them in Tom's side. Tom then felt a deep, sharp pain unlike any other pain he had felt in his life, and he had felt a lot of pains. "I go to that bank". The Lizard then dropped Tom and ran off, leaving Tom to die. Tom then lay on his side, without any hope for survival. He had lost the chase, and this was his consequence.
"Perhaps this is my punishment", thought Tom. "For all my crimes and injustices to this world. I hope this is how all people... like me..... end." He then fell onto the floor. A bright shiny light from far away then filled his eyes, and it was unlike any other light he had ever seen before. He ran towards the light, hoping to find eternal happiness. But instead the light turned a fiery red, and his life would never be the same again.
