Looking around on the other side of the wormhole, Machol took it all in slowly. He was interested in all that he saw and about the people he would hopefully meet today.
"Jacob, welcome back", a short, bald man greeted General Carter.
He smiled, in return, "Thanks George, this is Machol Tanteth. He wanted to see what Earth was like."
"I'm General Hammond, welcome to Earth Machol", the bald man smiled.
Soon, four people came in, and the female trotted over to Jacob Carter and hugged him. This was, Machol assumed, SG-1. He was pleased to meet them and see what they were like in person. One can only learn so much from hearsay.
"Machol, this is Sam, my daughter. That's Jack, Teal'c, and Daniel Jackson, her team mates. They are SG-1, the people I've been telling you about", Jacob introduced once the hug was over.
"Let's go to the briefing room", Hammond said, leading the way up the stairs.
Once they were seated in the briefing room, it was clear that General Hammond wanted to know why they were there.
"We are here to see how you have been doing in you fight against the gould", Jacob offered, resting his hands in his lap.
Jack looked puzzled, "So you can all the way over here just to see how we have been doing?"
Jacob's head dropped and rose slowly, "Jacob tends to put things out of context. We are here for that, but also because of my apprentice Tanteth," he referred to Machol with a wave of a hand, "He desires to know more about the Tau'ri than I can tell him. I thought it would be a good idea to bring him with me here so that he might learn."
"What ever you could teach me and show me would be much appreciated", Machol commented.
George smiled, "Well, of course. I'm sure SG-1 could show you around while Jacob and I go over what we've been up to."
The team rose with Machol and left the room. Daniel lingered back with Machol to talk with him while they walked to where ever Jack was going.
"So, Machol, what would you like to learn and see?" Daniel asked.
"I do not know", he replied.
Daniel smiled as the continued to follow Jack. Where was he headed anyways?
