A/N- This is just something that I came up with. I was told that I wasn't
being descriptive enough in my writing, so I came up with this. I am a very
religious person and I thought that the bible was a little vague on the
story of Moses, so I am writing my own descriptive version. I hope you like
it. Don't forget to R and
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ He briskly walked down the dirt road trying to get away. As he stepped out of the protection of the high balcony above, his warm tears were accompanied by the cold rain. His pale flesh stung and his feet were bruised and cut. The red welts began to bleed heavily with blood. He didn't have time to stop and wipe it because they were advancing on him quickly. As the old blood dried and crusted, the new, deeper red blood began to flow in replacement. The dry hay and mud filled his toes, making the going even more difficult. As he hurried across the street to get out of the light, he stepped into the dark, damp ally, he began to feel frightened. He knew that he only had a couple of more steps to go, but what would he do without him. As he walked, he stubbed his toe on a rock that was left behind. He reached the end of the ally and looked out to the beach for the guards. He saw someone up ahead walking with a limp and knew that the time had come for him to let go of the one thing that he cared about. He crouched down and began to make his way slowly through the grass to the beach. The sand sticking to his feet and ankles was course and rough. He pulled the bread out of his pocket in his tunic as he walked through the high, prickly grass to the beach. The sky suddenly lit up with a bolt of lightning and the wind picked up even more. As he saw who the person was he stood up in the shadows and pulled his dark, wet hair out of his eyes and made the signal. The woman with the limp turned quickly and disappeared into the shadows with the man. They exchanged a quick greeting, then proceeded to admire the little baby that they were about to let go. They made there way cautiously to the river side and put the grass woven lid on top of the baby's basket and gently placed him in the water to find protection some ways down the river. As they looked back at the only hope they had in the world, floating away in a reed basket they began to cry and weep even harder, yet they could not give up hope that one day their baby would return. They turned around and walked slowly back to the slave quarters with only hope left in them. Moses sat up with a flash and looked around quickly. He realized that it was still dark in the palace room and his guard dogs were still at rest. He slowly and quietly stood and left the room to the hall of the past. Walking slowly down the stairs, he watched the light bounce off the walls of the stairs and began to wonder what his dream was about. The gods had definitely wanted him to know something, or else he wouldn't have seen the vision of the past.
