Disclaimer: This poem was written about Hermione Granger and Severus Snape. Neither character is my creation, and both are copyright JK Rowling and co. The Story of the Sun and Moon
As the Sun touches the dawn and
the Moon touches the dusk,
The two shall meet.
Life happens in
many different ways,
But this was unexpected.
As moonlight-pale skin and
sun-kissed meet,
They fall in love.
The Sun becomes wary and
the Moon must comfort Her.
The Sun must leave
Lest they be found out.
The Moon is older than age,
The Sun is relatively young.
But the Moon has none to
Comfort Him, but for the Sun.
As the Sun is the only one as bright as She,
The Sun and the Moon meet at night,
The Sun lights the path.
There are suspicions,
But the Moon quiets them.
The Moon comes to the Sun.
He sits by Her
As Clouds pass.
The dawn creates
Shadows over the Sun's face,
As the Moon hides from the dawn.
The Sun relishes in it,
Waking the world,
But the Moon tolerates because
Of His love for the Sun.
Dusk creates elongated shadows
Across the path They walk.
The Moon relishes the feel of the
shadows and the Sun cries.
One is nothing without
The other,
For without contrast,
There is no darkness
And there is no light.
