(Author's note: This poem is modeled on the poem "Eldorado" by Edgar Allen Poe.)
Savior
Though his apparel
Nothing regal
His sword hardly a dagger
This boy so young
Was to become
A hero and a savior
He journeyed far
A noble heart
His Courage drove his dagger
And on he strode
With no abode
For him, our destined savior
He'd not yet grown
When first was shown
The tainted power's dagger
To this mere lad
In tunic clad
Who posed as mighty savior
When wisdom gave
Persistence brave
To put away his dagger
With certain heart
World torn apart
In silence fell our savior
Attention fine
In realm divine
Slept body, friend, and dagger
Till proper age
And final stage
Then rose again as savior
And now young man
With callused hand
Broad sword no more a dagger
Onward he quests
Too bold to rest
He's happy as the savior
