The Boy and His Fairy
They call me savior
Just a boy
The Mighty Hero
One
I'll live forever
Never die
in history or song
She asked me once
my closest friend
how far I'd push it
Far
To win the battle
save the world
I'd sooner die than run
But if you fought
and no one knew?
How goes the hero
then?
How wretched,
how detestable
when recognition's gone.
"Their praise," I laughed,
"is not the goal.
"You know what's in my
"heart."
She smiled at me.
Of course I do.
How could I stay if not?
For there you stand,
a full-grown man,
yet idealistic
boy.
And then she frowned.
Don't give that up.
That's all he's waiting for.
So since that time
I've given thought
to why I'm here and
yes
If all it took
was one more life
I'd gladly give myself.
