She's been crying for almost two hours now, just lying on the bed, sobbing her heart out.

They wrack her entire body, causing a painful burning sensation in her chest. She feels as though she's on fire, and that her chest will surely collapse in on itself soon.

Her eyes hurt from the salty tears that run down her face and into her hair as it stains her cheeks a bright red.

She curls up into the fetal position, suddenly feeling very small and she wants to make herself that way.

Cause she's lost her best friend and this is the most painful thing in a woman's life to go through.

She's lost so many people in her life; the pain of this realization brings more tears. Tears that, until now, she didn't know she had.

She wishes that someone were there for her, to cry with her, but there isn't anyone.

She's all-alone, and this realization stops the tears only to allow fear to set in.

The only person who could possibly help her through this time is the one person who has left her.

She sits up, hugging her knees as tightly to her body as her jeans will allow. She then proceeds to rest her chin on her knees, taking some comfort in hugging herself.

This time, as she begins to cry again, it's quieter, and yet still as heart felt.

That's when she hears it, her front door opening. Probably one of the others coming to check on her.

She doesn't want their sympathy though.

While their words may be kind, they aren't what she needs.

And suddenly, the last person she expected to see is standing there, and he looks like he's been crying quite a bit too.

"Daniel?"

"God, Cassie..."

He captures her up in his arms, hugging her as tight as he can.

And then she realizes that everything is gonna be okay.

This is the way life goes, and they'll get through it together.

Yes, sad I know, but I know what I was talking about. This is what happened to me when my grandma died. Of course, I didn't really have anyone to help me through it. I started writing then, and about a year later, I posted my first story.

This story is dedicated to my grandmother for making me the person I am today. She will be forever loved and missed.
