Hey all! How's it going? My name is Maureen, and the story below is one of my 4, the worst of my four o hope it's ok, and I hope you enjoy. And just to let you know I love playing sports, singing, acting, dancing, and most of all I love Daniel Radcliffe!!!!!! He rocks my world, anyways later!

4:37 a.m, Skylar Pratt sat outside the hospital door hoping for some sign of his awakening, but so far the body of her had father remained in an un- existence state for two days and counting. She remembered the days when he would pick her up and he and her mother would sing and laugh with her. Over the years there was less and less laughter going on and the singing was replaced with screaming, and the laughter was replaced with crying. It was going downhill for Skylar's parents from the beginning, but last year was when it was finally ended. Since then her father had been drinking a lot more, and thinking a bit less. He started driving while he drunk and finally fate got him. One night after drifting out of a bar he stupidly jumped into his car, and drove in downtown......I think we all know the rest. And here he was, in critical condition, and also in coma.
Skylar was much closer to her dad than her mom and if he died , she would start being confused about life because he always picked her up when she fell, and her mom just couldn't do that for her. Her mom was always in between everything, and always busy to be a real mom anyways. She was also in and out of jobs, and in and out of boyfriends. So if Mr. Pratt died, no one would be a mentor for Skylar. She almost lost her visions, and forgot her dreams when her parents split up, she almost dropped the one thing that mattered most to her, her martial arts, and gymnastics.
At her school they're was a program for defence and flexibility, D.F, more commonly known, and Skylar had forever wanted to be a Ninja, so this was ideal, until that is....she started getting professional, and good. Then she was a weapon. But even though she had this magnificent talent, at the time of the divorce she was aiming at dropping it, if not for her father. He always used to remind her to "Live her Dreams", and Skylar's was; being a security guard ,or a Ninja, or in secret she hoped; a criminal. But if her father was not there she would waste her life away, and dwell in pools of depression and denial.
At school she was ignored by everyone for no apparent reason, but it didn't matter to her because at home, her father would be waiting, and cheer her up. Her mother tried, but couldn't understand her daughter, but she still is trying. Skylar's life is like a deck of cards, with her father as the bottom/base card. Take him away and the whole thing come tumbling down.....................
