Author's Note: Hn. Okay, this poem/short story is rather odd, but please bear with me. If you've seen the Dark Tournament finals where Kurama and Karasu fight, you might understand where this is coming from. It's suggestive YAOI people, if you don't like it, don't read it. Flames will be ignored and deleted.

Disclaimer: I don't own Yuu Yuu Hakusho, but I am in current borrowing status of a certain youko for Fatality... Mwahaha...

Kurama couldn't sleep, but he knew why. It was those damned dreams of Karasu and the tournament. He couldn't lie to himself and say they were nightmares, because nightmares aren't supposed to be enjoyed, aren't supposed to make you wake in a hot sweat fighting for control. The fox trembled all over, struggling to sit up for the tangled sheets about him, his racing heart a tangible pounding in the darkness. From the open window drifted a warm breeze that teased Kurama's skin, sending shivers down his spine. Memories of Karasu's words darted through his exhausted mind as his dream resurfaced.

He had been running in Makai on one of those gorgeous nights that made even the day jealous as he came upon his den, swiftly entering and contemplating sleep when an unseen speaker broke the silence.

"It's good to see your beautiful face again, Kurama." The Quest Class demon Karasu melted from the shadows, smiling at the fox's trembling form. "Perhaps now we can settle our differences and concentrate on the more pleasurable things in life, ne?" He laughed, a smooth and seductive sound that shook Kurama's soul.

A hand touched his face, so gently the fox could not help but gasp. "W...why are you here?"

"It's so simple, Kurama, can't you see? I'm only giving you what you want...What you've always wanted..." The ebony haired demon laughed and traced a light hand down Kurama's chest, relishing in the deep throated purr that elicited from the fox's throat.

Kurama snapped out of his dream reverie, wandering over to his desk, where he turned on the lamp and slumped into the chair, head in his hands.

"Damn him for making me think this way," he muttered softly. "And damn him for making me want it."

Tearing a sheet of paper from a notebook, he grabbed a pen and idly began writing, nearly unaware of what exactly he was penning and quite oblivious to the dark shadow that blotted out the light of his window.

'Tiny twinkling pinpricks
Of light so far above
And the gleam of the mystic
Gleaming golden...

'Love of silver, ebony shine
Dancing footsteps on the fields
Violet eyes, captured mine
With the power that he...

'Wields the nighttime air
With a veritable explosion
His hands in my silver hair
An unbelievable...

'Notion in my head
Threads pull my soul
In the field where I was led
Have I finally found my...

'Whole moon shining radiant
Splashing upon the green
Is this what is meant
By loving what I...

'Dream of palest skin
Of stray whispers in my ear
The rising current within
Sweet surrender I can...

'Hear the chords of destiny
Feel the heat of the summer air
Holding him against me
Touch his skin, do I...'

A cold pale hand settled on his shoulder and the fox froze, not daring to turn and look at who stood behind him.

"Dare you?" A seductive voice asked before capturing Kurama's soft lips in his own, surrounding the youko in a curtain of ebony hair and violet gazes.

~**~

Kurama: That's a little frightening...

Karasu: Must you be so negative? I rather enjoyed it.

Kurama: ::mutters:: Psychopath...

Karasu: ::grinning evilly:: Why thank you, beautiful.

::sweatdrops:: Heh, well, you two can just duke it out without me...Hope everyone enjoyed it! ::runs from Kurama's evil glare::
