Author's note: I hope you like it. Oh yeah, and I don't own Harry, etc.

Look at the Moon and Stars

January breeze went through the grounds of Hogwarts as a couple sat underneath the large beech tree beside the crystal blue lake. Harry sighed. In a few minutes, he would be leaving Hogwarts with the older members of the Order of the Phoenix to fight Voldemort. Unfortunately, his friends were not allowed to come and help him. Although discouraged, Harry thought it was for the best. He looked at his girlfriend Hermione and frowned. He loves her so much, but he must leave. If he would die in battle...no, he won't. But was he sure? He decided to make their last moment together memorable...just in case. He looked at the night sky above them and smiled. "Hermione, look at the moon and the stars."

She gave him a quizzical look, "Why?"

"Remember them and this moment." He replied, "Can't you see our love is up there? As long as the moon and stars remains in the sky, I will always love you."

Hermione looked up, "And I will always love you too."

'Look at the moon and stars

And remember every detail

Look at the moon and stars

There our love is engraved'

Harry wrapped and arm around her shoulders, "I'm sorry I can't stay and that you can't come. It's really for the best. I don't want you to get hurt."

"I understand, Harry." She leaned on him, "I understand."

'I will go to a faraway place

Where the war won't reach your ears

Sadly, you must stay

For you not to get hurt, my dear'

"Will you come back soon?" Hermione asked as her bright brown eyes gazed at the moon.

"I don't know." He replied, "I'm not sure."

'I don't know if I will come back

For this war might be long

I don't know if I will come back

For there my life might not last long'

"Hermione?"

"Yes, Harry?"

"I'll never forget you." He said, "Either will the love we shared." He looked at her with peaceful green eyes and smiled, "I hope you won't forget, especially this moment." He added.

Hermione smiled back, "Don't worry, I won't."

'So, my dear, cherish this moment

And keep it for many years

You, my love, I'll never forget

And the bond we shared for years'

Remus Lupin walked to them, "It's time, Harry."

Harry nodded and turned to Hermione, "I have to go now. I love you." He leaned down and kissed her.

The two stayed lip locked until they finally ran out of air. "I love you too, take care." Hermione whispered before letting him stand up.

"Goodbye, Hermione." Remus told her before he and Harry walked away.

'Look at the bright moon and shimmering stars

And listen to my last words with you

I promise our love will never part

And now, before I leave, I have to say: I love you'

As tears silently ran down her cheeks, Hermione looked up at the moon and stars. She never forgot that day. The memory was engraved in her heart and in the sky. About a month later, she received news from the battle. She was eager to know if Harry was all right and didn't wait for Ron to read with her. She slit open the envelope and burst into tears. Harry did win the battle, but he sacrificed his life for the victory. And, as she lay down on her bed that night with the letter in her hand, she remembered that last night with Harry when she was looking at the moon and the stars.
