CIG Headquarters
Alexi Markov: We should strike now! They have no weapons!
John Erickson: (Shaking head) Alexi, Alexi, you never learn, do you?
Markov: Learn what, John?
Erickson: They most certainly have weapons, and probably even Mobile
Suits. The Federation is not very likely to just give up all means of
defending themselves, especially with us still in the equation.
Markov: Where would they hide such weapons?
Erickson: Do you forget the asteroid bases the Federation held onto?
Markov: They are to far away from Mars to defend it well.
Erickson: That was never their intent. The asteroids are located on
the borders of our space, they are meant as bases for retaliation.
Markov: Against what! By the time they retaliate our most important
personnel will already be on Mars!
Erickson: Our citizens, Alexi. That is who would suffer.
