Slartibartfast, Arthur, Ford, and Trillian have just been transported back
to the Bistromath after their unsuccessful attempt to recover the golden
bail, and a close brush with a Thunder God. Characters aren't mine. I

Ford stalked back and forth angrily, still seething. Arthur glared at him.
"Well?" he finally asked. "Would you rather I just let Trillian go off to Valhalla?"
"No," said Ford. "I suppose you're right. But you didn't have to go about risking your life for her!" He glared almost beseechingly at Arthur.
"Somebody had to," he answered sullenly, avoiding Ford's reproachful glare. Suddenly, he got the drift. He quickly took the few steps to Ford and flung his arms around him. Ford's arms cinched tightly around Arthur's waist in response.
"Don't make me face this bloody universe alone," he whispered.
