Disclaimer: Let's just say I am going to buy CSI when I've taken over the world and lived to see a blue cow swim in an orange sea. A/N – I had to write this for school, and I thought it fit in quite nicely. Here in the UK we've just seen the episode where Calleigh and Hagen are talking, and she says, "Not at work." I think this could reflect on Horatio's thoughts if he knew about the exchange, plus all of the disappointments in his life. But, hey, think what you like and tell me what you think. Reviews are greatly appreciated. (

Calm after the Storm.

The sky acts like a moody teenager.

It portrays the image of the sweet and innocent; it can lash out whenever the time feels right.

Suddenly, it teems it down with rain.

You realise that you don't care that you are standing in a downpour.

You and the rain are alike: both lingering in pathetic self-centredness, yet unable to do anything about it.

White flashes illuminate the lighthouse at the end of the beach.

Flashes of her face haunt your mind.

You fall heavily onto the sodden sand.

Dark clouds frown on you. Frown on life.

And yet you don't allow yourself to break down.

The sky is a cat at play with cotton clouds and toy stars to scatter as he wishes.

Your smile looks fake and you know it.

But when will you learn?

As the rain clears, images chase through your mind.

You want to curse under the stars.
