A/N: I don't own the characters or anything but I would love to receive
you're thoughts on the story. Thanks Enchantress
"Ray, you can say it one hundred times but it won't matter 'till you tell Lily," Robbie pushed his friend away from him.
"Come on Robbie; Let me practice like five more times."
"You know Ray, strength of will means strength of heart," Travis spoke without looking up from his lunch.
"Right, what he said. Look Ray if you want to tell her all this sappy stuff, just do it. And speaking of...Hey Lily!" Ray's head shot up at Robbie's words. Lilly flipped her hair over her shoulder and dropped into the empty seat next to them.
"And how are my favorite boys?" She looked around the table. "Never mind from that look I don't wanna know. Oh hey, I need to get to the station early today. Anyone wanna come with?" Robbie punched Ray under the table.
"Ah! I mean...yeah I will." Ray rubbed his leg. Lily shot him a smile and grabbed his hand to lead him away.
"Think he'll tell her," Robbie asked. Travis finally looked up and smiled.
"Not a chance."
Lily pushed open the heavy station door. "Whew. Thanks for coming with me Ray. I left my guitar picks around here somewhere..." Her sentence trailed off as she crawled under the table to search. Ray stood frozen by the door. He scratched his head. He sat down and stood up about seven times before Lily looked at him. "Do you need something?"
"No. I mean maybe." He blew out a deep breath. "I just wanted to ask you a question." Lily got up and sat next to him on the table.
"Shoot big guy."
"Well I was wondering if you would do a new segment with me on the show."
"You asked her WHAT?" Robbie yelled when Ray told him the story. Travis sighed and gave Robbie a look. "Look what happened?"
"I have no idea. I panicked. Women are tricky creatures."
"No Ray, You are the tricky creature. You won't get another chance like that." Travis put down the gadget he was working on.
"Or maybe," he said, "he gave himself the perfect opportunity." The other two boys looked at him blankly.
"Do you ever speak English?" Ray whined.
"You have to do a new segment with Lily right?" Ray nodded. Travis threw Ray a notebook. "Write this down. By the time we're done not only will she know what you meant to say...she won't be able to believe it. Lily's in for one major surprise."
