"Gee, Chewy, guess you don't know anything" said Chelsea, mocking her younger sister.
When the other boys came out of the screen, they began to murmur to themselves, before Jack and David took them aside to explain everything, one last time.
"Crutchy!!!!!!!!" screamed Kaylee
"Oh, Hiya!" he said friendlily
Kaylee stuck out her hand and shook Crutchy's vigorously, he almost fell off his Crutchy, "Sorry," Kaylee told him, "I'm Chewy, and I you are my favorite Newsie!"
Crutchy looked flattered, "Why, thank you!" he told her, "Hey, I like your pants!" he complimented
"Thank you!!!" Kaylee said, /wow/ she thought to herself, /I just got a compliment from Crutchy/, "Hey," she said, "Want a dorito?"
"Sure!" he said, "What a dorito?" Kaylee led him to the snack table. Crutchy smiled big. He'd never seen any of these foods before in his life. He began munching on the Doritos on delight, while Kaylee entertained him with her silly attitude and funny comments.

In the meantime Andrea was carrying on a conversation with Skittery, "Yeah," said Skittery, "I don't know why they raised the price" he explained to her, "I guess they just hate us"
Andrea laughed, "Glum and dumb," she said, "Just the way I like them" she nudged Skittery, and he lit up a little.
"So, what year is this again?" he asked, wanting to learn more about /Cheese/, as he knew her.
"2004," Andrea told him, matter-of-factly.
"You could be my....great, great, great grand-daughter," Skittery told her.
"Nah," said Andrea, "None of my ancestors were that hott," she smiled.
"No, I'm not hot; I'm actually kind of cold right now,"
Andrea giggled, "It means I think your handsome and cool like whoa," she told him
"Oh," said Skittery, "Well, I think you're good-looking too." Andrea smiled, /so that's why I can't get a boyfriend!/ she said to herself, /because my dream man is living in the 19th century!"

Racetrack and Moose were talking too. He was mostly explaining to her how to play craps. But now and then, they got a little off track.
"So, then you—"continued Race
"Racetrack, as much as I'd love to learn about gambling" Kathryn said sarcastically, "There's just something I've always wanted to do," she leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips. Racetrack was shocked, "Whoa," he said, smiling, and feeling spontaneous and totally whimsical, he leaned over and kissed her again, longer and more passionate, to let her know how much he appreciated her thought.

Across the room, Itey and Chelsea were practicing dance steps, "Wow, 'Ponine, you're a really good dancer," he smiled at her, shyly. "Thanks," said Chelsea, "But your better" Chelsea was a great dancer, something her and Itey had in common. She couldn't really remember why they started dancing, she just got up and Itey got up with her. It was almost like it was planned. Chelsea told him she loved to dance, and he simply responded with, "Me too" and it just began. After Chelsea had shown Itey a little of her modern day dance, she stopped and smiled at him for a moment, while he put out his hand and said, "May I have this dance?" "Of course!" Chelsea said. He grabbed her hand, and began to slowly dance to nothing but the synchronized music in their heads.

David and Gretch were talking, too. Sarah found herself strangely shy around him. Normally she was the outgoing and loud one, but something about David's presence calmed her down. Man, if he only knew how she acted when he was on screen. "So, what are you planning on doing when your dad gets his job back. Do you think you really will go back to school?" Sarah asked him "I think so," he told her, "I want to do something special with my life. I don't want to end up working in the factories for the rest of my life. I think I'm going to go to college." "Wow, those are really good goals," she complimented him. "I wish I could set my standards that high" "You can!" he comforted her, "You can do anything you want" "You're a really sweet guy, Dave," she looked him in the eyes. He smiled back at her. "You're really nice too," he told her.
