Wishes and Birthdays

A/N: Happy Birthday Omitchi!
The room was dark except for a small candle that was half-hidden behind a kneeling figure. Illuminating his face, large blue eyes filled with happy tears.
He blew out the candle, "Happy birthday, Self. 16 years... or so... on this earth. I have three close friends, a wonderful job, go to a great school, and get to do the moral good. Though I don't remember where I came from I am very happy and for this I am thankful. And one day... maybe I will know love, and know how to share myself... maybe one day... I wish oh how I wish someone will celebrate my birthday with me."
Aya listened in intently he hadn't been able to sleep- no real shock ever since joining Weiss- losing his family. But now more vexing thoughts covered him, he heard a soft noise... and it seemed to be coming from that soft, gentle shy boy Omi's room. After a long minute passed he realized he was intruding on a precious moment and could hear the tears it brought about.
He lowed his head.
'I have to do something...'
Aya left the door just as he heard the switch of Omi's light going out. He walked to the other two bedrooms and gathered Yoji and Ken.
"Get up you slackers."
"Nani? Is something wrong...? Or are you just being a jerk?"
"Shove it Hidaka. Did any of you realize today is Omi's birthday?"
Yoji blinked, "Leap Year? No... He never had one with us... Shit, we should do something, shouldn't we?"
"What about call his family...?"
Aya shook his head, "He doesn't remember them, remember?"
"Oh... yeah... I know! Get him a gift?"
"What though?"
"He seems lonely, why wouldn't he tell us? I've been whoring out my b-day since September- and Ken wasn't any better..."
"Hn." Aya looked around, "How about a pet? We have the space."
"True.." Both agreed in unison.
"What though?"
"A dog?"
"Too big," Yoji added, "and messy. A fish?"
"Too small and dies easily, he'd get upset if that happened." Ken added.
"How about a cat, independent, neat, and long life-span? A Bombay- he'd love it."
"Wow, Aya's deep."
"Shut up and let's go find a pet store."
