A/N1 – (this is something I'm putting in all the stories I post today); Hi! And welcome to my imagination. I have been a member here since September 4th, 2002. This is one of the first stories that I am posting and being that it is a very unusual and special event, I am posting it on a day that does not exist 3 out of 4 years! What took me so long? Well, two things: I'm a procrastinator and a perfectionist, but in general, I get many ideas that just don't seem to come out into words. However, I promised myself, that today, I would share some of my ideas with the world (and it's about time, too!). I hope you enjoy your reading and Happy Leap Year!

Conceal My Soul
My little trick
A little switch
That confuses the mind
And conceals the soul
You'll never know who I am
I take on many shapes and forms
The body that binds me is limitless
Colours, sizes, and masks of art
Come with ease and set me apart
My exterior appearance of my being
Is shrouded in mystery
But sometimes I wish
You could know who I am
I took on this role
It is my life to protect the lives of others
And no one can see through me
It is what I do to protect the lives of others
My little trick
A little change
Confuses your mind
And conceals my soul
You'll never know who I am
If I let you get close and you got to know
The person behind all these faces
Maybe you'd see, my personality
And you'd truly know me
But I can't let you close
You only see my different forms
And though I want you to know who I am
I do what I do
To protect the lives of others
My being is to see through
The victory of the Good
I'll fight for the light
Against an everlasting night
And I'll conceal my soul
To keep the world safe
To keep all others safe
To keep you safe

A/N – whoever you imagine her talking to is fine with me, I won't take that away from you. I didn't really intend it to be romantic, but I'm leaving it to your interpretation. I sort of picture it being directed to other members of the OotP who are not aurors, or to Harry, one who needs to be kept safe. I plan on writing music for this someday and turning it into a song (I am a composer). Unfortunately, I do not have any way of sharing it with you sigh. Please review and tell me what you think.
