My Immortal: Why aren't you here?
I have to feel the pain of being alone, because it is what you left upon me. Why aren't you here?
*I'm so tired of being here, supressed by all my childish fears. And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave,*
You left after we figured out the Epitaph of Twilight, and I so mourn for your presence that it seems like you've been gone forever. Why aren't you here?
*Because you're presence still lingers here. And it won't leave me alone. These wounds won't seem to heal. This pain is just too real. There's just too much that time cannot erase.*
I can still feel your presence, but I don't want to. If you're not here, then I don't want to mourn over you. You haunt my every dream. Every passerby that comes, I see your face. Your real face. Why aren't you here?
*When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears. When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears. And I held your hand through all of these years. But you still have all of me.*
I have no reason to think it's your fault that you left. We never had anything more than friendship, much as I may have wished that we would. That's the truth Kite. Why aren't you here?
*You used to captivate me by your resonating light. Now I'm bound by the life you left behind. Your face, it haunts my once pleasant dreams. Your voice, it chased away all the sanity in me.*
I saw you walk by in my dream last night. I saw your warm smile. You were smiling at me. But all you said was, "Hey, BlackRose, long time, no see!" And then you walked off leaving me silently crying over you. Why aren't you here?
*These wounds won't seem to heal. This pain is just too real. There's just too much that time cannot erase. When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears. When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears. And I held your hand through all of these years. But you still have all of me.*
My dreams won't stop coming. Will you ever speak to me again, Kite? I saw you today, walking in a field with your grunty. Balmung and Elk were with you. I want you to call me. Why aren't you here?
*I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone. But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along.*
You wouldn't call me, so I called you. You sounded normal, like you always do, and welcomed me into your party. Will this ever resolve? Why aren't you here?
*When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears. When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears. And I held your hand through all of these years. But you still have all of me.*
When we were in the field, I decided that this had to end sometime. "Kite, why haven't you called me lately?," I asked in my stubborn voice. "I've been waiting for what seems like a thousand years."
"I was afraid to call you, BlackRose," He replied. "We were both in it all for different reasons, right? I was afraid that are only connection was that we were in it together only because we were both trying to reach the same destination."
"Is that all you were afraid of?"
"Well, no," He said nervously. "I was afraid because I didn't know if we were just friends, or. . ."
I smiled. "Either way," I told him. "You'll always at least be my friend."
Kite gave a warming smile. "I thought so too," He said. "Now, are we just going to stand here, or are we going to go and clear that dungeon?"
We both walked off, hoping to get the Gott statue treasure, but knowing that we already got the treasure that we really came for.
