Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Fellowship nor anyone else
mentioned in LOTR, though I think Gimli is sexy o.o
It was done, the ring destroyed, the evil banished, and middle earth was safe again. As Sam and Frodo lay on the rock surrounded by the flaming lava they each had flashbacks of their lives, and when Sam started talking about what he would do if they got out of this mess Frodo was barely listening, till 8 words made it into his brain.
"....and I'd ask her to marry me." Sam finished watching Frodo for any kind of reaction. Through this whole trip he had learned that his love for the hobbit beside wasn't just friendship, it was the kind that you couldn't live without, the kind that poets have written about for centuries. But he wasn't about to confess that. He knew it was dirty.
Frodo's insides were all twisted up, Sam was going to marry some girl and live happily ever after, while he lived the rest of his life in regret for not taking his chance when he got it. He took a deep breath, this may ruin their friendship forever but he just had to do it. "Sam you can't marry her!!" Her nearly shouted.
Sam was taken aback, he didn't expect that. He just sat there quietly waiting for Frodo to continue, for he had a feeling there was more that he wanted to say.
"Sam I know this may sound wrong but...I love you." Frodo spat out. "and not the friend/brotherly type love like the get married and spend the rest of my life with you kind of love." Frodo finished quickly keeping his eyes down not wanting to see the look of disgust on his true loves face.
Sam's chest swelled with happiness. Frodo loved him, he really loved him. All he could think was that this was the best day of his life, even if they were about to die. "Frodo..." He waited for said hobbit to turn his head and look into his smiling eyes "I love you too." He said softly reaching out to stroke Frodo's face with the back of his hand.
Frodo broke into a grin and grabbed Sam's hand leaning in and giving him a hard kiss on the mouth. Dreams really did come true. They were going to find a way off this mountain, they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.
The broke apart when they heard a screech of an eagle above them, they smiled at each other. It was happily ever after time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*One year later*
They lived on their own in Aragorn's kingdom, the other hobbits in the shire not understanding their love for one another. Even though they couldn't legally be married they had said vows to each other none the less, and even though the rest of the Fellowship had been alittle weirded out they had understood and gave them their blessings.
Frodo was happily cleaning the house while Sam was off on some errand, he had left really pale faced and didn't even eat breakfast, Frodo was worried but he'd get it out of him when he came home.
They door was slammed open and Frodo poked his head out of the kitchen to see Sam standing there even paler than before.
Frodo automatically rushed to his lovers side. "Sam what's wrong? Are we under attack? Did Arwen scream at you again? Did you walk in on Gandalf bathing again?" He gave a visible shudder at the last image.
Sam shook his head at all of those and looked Frodo straight in the eyes. "I'm pregnant." He quickly proceeded to faint.
Frodo just stared at his unconscious lover letting it all sink in. "P..pregnant?" He fainted in the same fashion, both of them lying there motionless.
Hobbits really are strange creatures.
