I do not own ER. Some of the lines said were actual lines from the episode "Blood Relations." They may be changed around a little or exactly the same.
The day begins for county, and a family is brought in for Carbon Monoxide poisoning. The woman went into labor but does not have the poisoning because the baby got it all. He must be put in a hyperbaric chamber to save his life.
"Where's my family?" The woman yells.
"Come on Vicki big push." Carter tells the woman.
Vicki gives her hardest push ever and when the baby finally is born, Susan tells Neela to deliver the placenta.
"Me?" Neela asks, surprised.
"Yes you!" Susan yells.
Neela then does as she is told while Susan and Carter are getting the baby ready to be transported.
"Placenta's out." Neela says.
Suddenly when the baby is ready, the mother cries out.
"Can I see him?" The mother asks.
"Um..yea you can see him but the sooner we start treatment the better the results." Susan tells her.
After about 30 seconds, Susan tells her that they need to go. Neela is doing her chart.
"Neela!" Susan yells. Neela follows her.
"Take this baby to the hyperbaric chamber." Susan tells her.
"I thought an attending should go." Neela says.
"No the dive takes too long." Susan says now getting irritated.
"Well how long?!" Neela asks now worried.
"A couple of hours, is there a problem?" Susan asks, meaning 'There better not be.'
Neela arrives off the elevator and speeds the baby to the hyperbaric chamber. When she arrives there is a nurse named Tim waiting for her.
"Take off your lab coat and put on these booties." Tim tells her. "No make-up, perfume, nail polish, or hair spray...." Tim continues.
"Um..Why?" Neela asks very worried now.
"They're all flammable, no unfinished root canals temporary fillings, caps? They could expand in the pressure." Neela looks frightened she's having second thoughts."
"Um..How clean are your ears?" Tim asks.
"I don't think I can do this." Neela tells Tim.
"You'll be fine just come on." Tim says.
They both run up into the chamber. When they reach the inside Neela looks around and freaks out while Tim sits down.
"Does it stay this loud?" Neela asks, when the fan comes on.
"You'll get used to it." Tim tells her.
Neela walks around and starts to sweat.
"I'm sorry can we stop now?" Neela asks Tim.
Tim just ignores her and keeps sitting. Neela looks around and tries again.
"I'm sorry can we stop now?" She asks again.
"Resume pressuization!" Tim tells the technichian.
Neela looks at Tim and turns around to the window. She leans her head against it, closes her eyes, and tries to concentrate on breathing.
