During Lady Yuna's Pilgrimage walking towards Zanarkand after fighting
Seymour on Mt. Gagazet for the 3rd time and after fighting the Sanctury
Keeper...
"Doesn't this seem so familiar, Auron?" Diamond asked him. Her shimmering pale blonde hair was to her waist and was always held in a diamond studded ponytail, a gift from Auron on her birthday on Lord Braska's Pilgimage, and was always braided. Her red coat was the same as Auron's only small enough to fit her in it. Underneath was a woman version of Auron's clothes. The two looked one in the same. Auron looked at her with his eye and readjusted his black sunglasses. He had always felt a strange emotion for this woman. Now he felt something weird was going to happen between them when he dissapeared during Yuna's sending after defeating Sin. He sighed.
"Diamond... Almost every Pilgrimage is the same. They're always around the same plan. Almost the same, there's no way around it," he said with almost no emotion.
"I don't want to see Yuna die like Braska..." Diamond shuddered as she remembered how he looked when his lifeless body fell to the ground, his pryeflies flying away as Sin roared in defeat.
"Don't remind me... Don't you think it's hard for me, too?!" he almost snapped. Diamond stopped walking and looked at the ground.
"I can't believe I'm doing this again... Watching another Summoner die when Sin is only going to come back later... It's a waste of a wonderful persons life!!" she screamed at Auron who was walking away from her. "This is Lord Braska's daughter!! Don't you feel obligated to him to save his daughter from dying?!!" At that, Auron stopped and wisked around, walking to face Diamond in the face again. He stopped and placed his face inches from hers. "A-Auron?"
"Diamond... Of course I don't want to see Yuna die. I know this Final Aeon thing doesn't work as well as you know.."
"Then why can't tell her that?!" Diamond said sternly, tears welling up in her crystal blue eyes. In her eyes sat beautiful spirals replacing where her pupils would be, showing she was Al Bhed. Auron was stunned by her beauty. A woman of her stature taking up another serious Pilgrimage such as her recent Summoner's daughter?! He knew why she felt so sad. He didn't blame her one bit. Auron remembered his and Diamond's Pilgrimage with Braska and the day he first met her... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 10 Years Before Lady Yuna's Pilgrimage...
"Lord Braska, I am happy to acompany you on your Pilgrimage," a young Diamond bowed to Braska. A young Auron stood by Braska's side.
"Are you sure we should let this woman join us on your Pilgrimage?!" Auron whispered sternly.
"Sir Auron, Diamond here is a friend of my wife's and I would feel safe and comfortable if she came along. Do you not agree, Sir Auron?" Braksa said and smiled. "She seems to have an interest in you."
"But, my Lord-"
"She's coming, Auron, end of story." Stopping all the whispering, Braska walked over to Diamond. "Hello, Diamond. Your father doing well?"
"He's surviving... barely. I'm sad to say it won't be long..." Diamond hung her head.
"I'm sorry to hear that.... Well, are you sure you want to come?"
"Sure I'm sure! Braska, you know when the moment I want to do something, my consience won't let me turn back?!" Diamond laughed.
"Ah, yes, you're right. Well, shall we procide?" Braska asked both Diamond and Auron.
"Of course, Lord Braska," Auron bowed.
"Roger that, Braska!" Diamond jumped up and down.
"Show the Summoner some respect, Al Bhed!" Auron yelled at Diamond. She immediently stopped jumping.
"So.... you.... don't like us... Al Bhed.... do you...?" Diamond said meekly. "Braska!!"
"Auron, please!" Braska said.
"Shouldn't she be calling you Lord?" Auron tried defending himself.
"Hey hey hey!!! I'm a friend of his since long ways back! He may be a Summoner, but that don't mean I have to call him Lord!" Diamond shoved her way past Auron and Braska and started up the long road to Bevelle's Prison, to find Jecht, the next possible member. "Tysh Oajuhedac.... Cdiebt baubma....."
"I'm not suprised if she called you something bad, Auron," Braska laughed.
"Lord Braska, I'm not likeing her...."
"You will, you will, trust me. You'll learn to love her..." Braska walked away with Auron not too far behind... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Back with Yuna's group...!
"That's right, Auron, you used to hate me!!" Diamond hit the older, but not much older, man in the arm and shoved past the group. "Tysh Oajuhedac.... Cdiebt baubma....." was heard. Rikku started laughing after hearing what Diamond said.
"Diamond, wait up!" she ran after her. The two started exchanging sentences in Al Bhed. They were laughing, looking back, and pointing at Auron. Auron rolled his eye, ignoring the laughs of Tidus and Wakka, and the giggling from Lulu and Yuna.
"Having girl problems, Old Man?" Tidus slapped Auron on the back. Auron just glared at him.
"Tidus, I would advise you not to turn into your father...."
"Whoa, my father thought you were having girl problems with Daimond, too? So, you've liked her for that long, huh, you Sly Devil!" Tidus laughed.
"Shut up before I end your story here and now..." Auron spat.
"AURON, SHUT YOUR HOLE!!!" Diamond shouted back at him. "STORY MY AL BHED ASS!!!" Rikku and her burst out laughing soon after and went on their merry Al Bhed way. Auron sighed. Diamond was always like this, so fiesty. Why did he seem to like her again? Oh right, that's because she could understand how he felt. No matter what the situation, she always found some way to cheer him up. Especially that one time.....
