I was sitting in the waiting room i had my head in my hands so i thought i
was alone i didn't realize Mr. Mcmahon had sat down next to me.
"Oh Mr. Mcmahon i thought you left."
"No i thought i would stay here and keep you company so how ya holding up."
"I don't know i mean i wanna run out of here screaming blaming myself but i know i have to be strong when he gets out of surgery he's gonna need my strength to get him through this."
"Well your not gonna have to go through this alone i'm here if you need me anytime of the day or night I'll be there for you."
"Thank you Mr. Mcmahon."
"Ok you've worked for Stephanie for how long."
"4 and half years."
"Don't you think its time you start calling me vince."
I smiled he was right it was time i started calling him by his first name.
"Vince can i tell you something."
"Sure honey."
"Now you may think this sounds silly but you have been so good to me and selena you let me bring her to work when i couldn't find a baby-sitter i guess what im trying to say is you've been more like a father to me then my boss god i must sound so silly saying that."
"No its doesn't sound silly as a matter of fact since you and steph have become the best of friends I've kinda thought of you as my other daughter."
"Well then what im about to ask you will make both of us happy, Vince will you give me away at my wedding that's if there's going to be one."
"Lisa you and Hunter will get married he is going to make it and yes i would be honored to give you away."
I hugged vince i opened my eyes to see the Doctor come in he started to walk over to us but he didn't have a look of good news on his face.
"Miss Anderson."
"How's hunter did he make through the surgery."
"Yes he did we removed both bullets but there were some complications it seems as though the bullet that went clean through nicked one of Hunter's arteries and he lost more blood then we would have liked."
"Just tell me is he's alive."
"Yes he's alive but he's in a coma im sorry."
I put my hand up to my mouth i couldn't believe what the doctor said.
"I wanna see him."
"Of course he's in a private room with a guard I'll take you to him."
The doctor took me down to the ICU unit of the hospital he took me into a room and i couldn't believe what i was seeing there was hunter lying motionless on the bed he looked so pale i walked over to the bed and sat down i took his hand in mine and stroked it.
"Hey baby i just can't believe this is happening you don't belong here you belong home with me and selly if i could turn back the hands of time i would but i can't you have to fight because we need you in our life i love you so much hunter please fight please you can fight this i know you can your strong and you love life baby please wake up."
When there was no movement i laid my head down on hunter's hand and started to cry.
Meanwhile outside in the waiting room.
"Dad where's Lisa." Stephanie said
"She's in with hunter."
"So he made it through the surgery."
"Yes but there was a complication and now he's in a coma they don't give him much hope."
"Oh no poor Lisa she must be dying inside i can't believe it daddy why is this happening."
"I don't know steph but we all have to be strong for them both."
Strong a word i needed hunter to be all this time he was the one being strong and now i was pushed into that position how was i going to handle this alone but vince was right i wasn't alone i had steph, shane, Linda and everyone else to help me but i did need to be strong i had to be for this unborn baby i was carrying inside me if i needed support it was now.
"I think im gonna go take these clothes into Lisa besides i wanna see hunter anyway ill be right back daddy."
Back in hunter's room i didn't even hear the door open i had my eyes on hunter the whole time i didn't even feel the hand on my shoulder i looked back to see Stephanie standing behind me.
"Hey honey how you holding up."
"I'm doing ok."
"Umm here i brought you a change of clothes so why don't you go change and ill keep hunter company."
I took the bag from steph and headed into the bathroom while i was in there i kinda overheard what steph was telling hunter.
"Hey i just wanted to tell you that everyone is praying for you to make it the wwf just won't be the same without you we all love you very much so you gotta fight this if not for us do it for your family do it for selly and her new baby brother or sister and for Lisa she really needs you we all need you i need you who am i gonna fight with on camera who am i play cards with on the plane rides."
I could hear steph starting to get choked up so i walked out and went over to her and i put my arms around her.
"He has to make Lisa he just has to."
"I know steph i know we both love him very much i can't even begin to imagine my life without him in it."
Stephanie and i both sat there holding hunter's hand i still couldn't get the image out of my head of Joan she killed herself all because she loved hunter so much she took her own life deep down i knew Joan had a heart but it turned so black that no one could help her not even herself i just hope that she didn't end the life of a man that has so much to live for and so many people that love him including me!!!!!
