Life will go on,
As it did before.
No stopping for one,
'Specially for him.

People rejoice,
That he is now gone,
Call it a saving grace,
That this convict is no more.

"We can walk safely now,"
This is what they say,
"No reason to fear,
No bad guys do stray."

If only they knew
How wrong they were.
Just 'cause he's lost,
Doesn't mean all is just fine.

No stopping for one,
For the world still turns,
But that doesn't mean,
It will hurt any less.
