Love's Illusion

You've stolen my heart, I want you to know.

I'm not one whose feelings easily show.

You're in my thoughts throughout much of the day.

Never dreaming you'd make me feel this way.

I fear that I'm falling deeply for you.

Lost and confused; I question what to do.

Will you accept me or toss me aside?

Will you break my heart or fill me with pride?

I cannot handle one more rejection.

My souls fragile and it needs protection.

I've been down this rough road; you think I'd learn.

It's a dark, winding path of no return.

Hopelessly falling I always get hurt.

My senses heightened and on red alert.

I will not allow a costly mistake.

I'll hide all emotions for my own sake.

If you care for me, you will send a sign.

Letting me know everything will be fine.

Maybe then my fear of failing will end.

Into your life all my love I will send.
