Part 1: curse or gift
Mystery man 1: "Name: Amuro Yuy, Age: 15, special skill: perfect
berserker. This
warriors skill allows him to enter a state in
which his strength,
speed and stamina increases. But unlike a
normal berserker he
has increased intelligence, which allows him to
control this ability."
Mystery man 2: "So this 'boy' is your candidate to pilot the xwg-01."
MM1: "yes"
MM2: "well let's see how he fairs against the top candidate."
The two men who just spoke are presidents over the Gundam project: codename Wing Zero. The man, Amuro Yuy, is a basic model gundam pilot that showed exceptional skill in a recent battle. To clarify things lets give a brief flashback, the date is December 31st 2099. The young pilot is getting ready to celebrate new years with family and friends when suddenly there is a loud explosion from outside the complex where the group is celebrating.
Amuro looks to the sky to see several weird mobile suit types in which he has never seen before. Kind of annoyed and seriously ticked off because the enemy just had to attack on his only day off, he takes a very eightyish stance with one hand, palm up, in the air and yells.
Amuro: "X5, lets roll"
Instantly he is transported to his gundam, the xxg-005 codename X5, which unfortunately for Amuro happens to be one of the original gundam mass- produced models. Amuro begins the fight of his life, which starts out a losing battle, because as anyone can guess putting an old-type gundam against a new-type gundam just spells disaster. So as the battle raged on Amuro began to feel the tension as the new-types were pummeling him.
But here is where the beauty of his technique comes to play. Whenever Amuro feels too much emotional or physical pain and is pushed beyond his limits. A sort of second personality erupts and a cold, calculated personality that calls itself Neo Strider takes the place of the boyish and naïve Amuro. It was at this extreme moment that this personality came forward and destroyed all the enemies within seconds. Immediately after the battle Amuro couldn't remember a thing but knew he had done something that to a normal man would seem like a miracle. But to Amuro this gift was more of a curse.
And thus the reason for the presidents meeting today.
