Chapter 1-Rub-a-dub- dub
Kairi sighed. The hot water poured into the tub. Bubbles flowed up. Kairi grinned and sunk deeper into the water. This was a great break from her annoying sister. Another break for the gloomy rain and thunder. She poured shampoo on her head and lathered it. She dunked her head in the foaming water and sighed. She switched off the hot water and daydreamed. She thought about laughing on the beach with Riku and Sora. She the thought about talking in the warm sun and dipping her feet into the cool ocean.
***************Meanwhile, Downstairs****************** Rini was laying on the couch watching cartoons. A fish and a gull were talking. Boring. She flipped to the next channel. "Ooohh! Chobits!" she cooed, sitting up. There was a knock on the door. She groaned and answered it. It was Sora and Riku. "Hi Riku! Oh, hi Sora. What are you two doing here?" she asked, leaning against the doorframe. "We're looking for Kairi. We know she can't be out in the rain so we figured she was here," answered Sora. Rini nodded. "She's upstairs in the bathroom. The room in between ours, you can't miss it," she replied, going back to the couch and gluing herself to the TV. Sora and Riku looked at each other. "Please don't worry about it. She won't mind at all," she replied through a forced smile, seeing their worried faces.

Chapter 2-What are YOU two doing here?!?!?!!? Kairi grinned. The rain was beating upon the small window. She wondered what Sora and Riku were doing. She figured they were training in the treehouse or playing pranks on Selphie or something like that. She yawned and splashed with her feet. Just outside the door, Riku and Sora were softly arguing about who should go in first. Sora agreed to go in first. Kairi smiled. "Ummm.... Kairi?" asked a familiar voice. "Sora?" gasped Kairi, scrambling up to duck into the water. "Wha... What in the world are you doing here? Ever heard of knocking before entering?" she scolded, poking her head above the edge of the tub. "Your sister sent us! She said you wouldn't mind if we came in. She made it sound like you were doing your homework in here or something. I swear, we're innocent!" pleaded Sora backing against the sink. Kairi groaned. "God I hate that rodent. Hey, toss me my clothes, would you Sora?" asked Kairi, draining the tub. Sora nodded and threw the clothes at her. Kairi caught her top but her skirt fell into the draining water. Kairi sighed and pulled on the top. "Can either of you grab a skirt from my room?" asked Kairi, poking more out of the tub. Riku nodded his head to Sora and mouthed something. He left the room. "So uhh... Kairi..." murmured Sora. "Yes?" Kairi asked, resting her head on the side of the tub. "I'm having a ummm... birthday party on Friday. Do you umm... wanna come?" asked Sora, looking at the floor. Kairi grinned. "I'd love to! What are we going to do there?" she asked, shivering at the loss of water in the tub. "Well were gonna like swim and have a barbeque and anyone's invited to stay over the night," replied Sora, feeling better that Kairi wanted to go. Riku stepped in holding a purple skirt. He pinched it with two fingers in front of him like it was a bag of vomit. He handed it to her. "Thanks" she replied, slipping on the skirt and standing up. Rini ran into the room.
Chapter 3- Crossed Ankles
"There's a flood warning. Mom and Dad called and said that we and anyone who is here has to stay here overnight," she announced. They all grinned. "Last one down the stairs looses!" shouted Kairi, running towards the stairs. Her and Sora had the idea of sliding down the banister, so they tied for first and Rini and Riku were last. Kairi laughed and rolled around the carpet. Rini laughed. "How about we watch a movie or something?" asked Rini, running into the kitchen and making some popcorn. Kairi looked at Sora and Riku. "Ever seen Chobits?" she asked, pulling a DVD out o the entertainment center and flopping on the couch between the two. The both shook their heads. "Like animae?" she asked, flipping on the TV. They nodded as Rini slip a bowl of popcorn on the coffee table and plopped down next to Riku. "Then you'll love it!" exclaimed Rini and Kairi as the disk whirred in the player. The 4 watched the first 8 episodes and snacked their way through 2 bowls of popcorn. As the player clicked off, Kairi sighed. "Now what do we do?" she asked, bringing the bowl back to the kitchen and rinsing it out. "Lets play Candy Land!" suggested Rini. "Lets NOT" exclaimed Riku, Sora and Kairi. Kairi crawled off the couch and went to the games closet. "Hmmm... We could play Life... Or Monopoly... Or Mario Party... What else?" asked Kairi, turning around to look at her guests. "Do we have to play something?" asked Riku. Kairi shook her head and sat down. "So Sora, what all will we do at your party? And does Rini have to come?" she asked, crossing her ankles. "Well yeah, Rini has to come unless you want Selphie's sister to come! Well we are gonna swim, have a barbeque and do some classified stuff and those who want to will sleep over. But you have to sleep over to get to do the classified stuff," answered Sora. Riku nodded. "So Rini must come because you don't want Melbie to be there," he added, leaning back. "Who all will be there?" asked Kairi, uncrossing and re-crossing her ankles. "Lets see, Me, Riku Tidus, Wakka, You, Selphie, Rini and Kira will be there," replied Sora with a grin. "Who's Kira?" asked Kairi as Rini sat down. "Kira is my older sister. She doesn't really get out much. Oh and my way older brother has pretty much planned everything," replied Sora. "Well, Mom said would could only stay up until 9:00 and it's 9:30. I call Riku to sleep in my room!" announced Rini, hugging Riku. Sora and Kairi grinned "Whatever!" They all headed upstairs and fell asleep softly despite the fact that there were groans from Rini's room.

Chapter 4-The Party- Beginning
Sora and Riku returned home at 9:00 after a breakfast of sweet pancakes. Kairi and Rini spent the rest of the morning packing and deciding on what to do and bring at Sora's party. Kairi packed her black fireworks pajamas and a change of clothes. Rini brought her heart pajamas and a dress to change into. By noon they were packed, in their swimsuits and playing in the surf. Kairi snuck up behind Sora and dunked his water in the water. "Hey birthday boy!" she shouted when he came back up. Sora smiled and splashed her with water. "Nice to see you too! Where's your sister and brother?" she asked, wading in the softly rolling waves. "Kira is reading on the beach and Tora's playing lifeguard," laughed Sora, splashing water on the close-approaching Selphie. Kairi turned around. A short, pale girl with soft brown ringlets and green eyes sat reading on the sand. She looked over and saw a tall, tan and muscular boy with messy blonde hair talking to Tidus's older sister. Kairi turned around. "Wow! They look nothing like you!" she laughed, splashing water at Rini and Riku. Sora nodded. "Let's start the fun" He splashed Kairi playfully. Tidus snuck behind Sora and dunked him in the water. Rini splashed water on Riku and Riku dunked Rini in the water. Everyone was splashing everyone. It was so fun, even Kira had to join in on the fun. Afterwards, they held 3 races with 2 re-matches each. They were then all wet and hungry so Tora started up the grill. Everyone ate chicken to heir hearts content and sat happily on the sand. "What now Sora?" asked Selphie, making drawings with her toes in the sand. "Well we are supposed to anything for two more hours," replied Sora. "Well, then, tag, your it!" exclaimed Kairi, tapping Sora on the shoulder and running off. Everyone squealed and ran too, even Kira. Wakka tripped as he was avoiding a crab and got tagged. He immediately tapped Kira. She laughed and dove after Kairi, but instead got Rini. The game went on for another hour until everyone was tired. "Everyone should go in and cool down because if you are staying for the next part its about to get hot!" announced Tora, scooting everyone into the house.
Chapter 5-The Party-Middle
Tora passed out water to everyone and they all whispered about what they thought the games would be. Tora didn't let on any hints. Finally, he got out two bowls with pieces of paper in them. "Everyone, listen up and listen good because I'm only gonna tell you pipsqueaks once. All of those who may get uncomfortable or scared or nervous during interactions with the other gender should leave now because it's about to get hot. Vinegar soaked jalapeno hot," announced Tora grabbing two bowls from the kitchen. Nobody moved. Tora shrugged. "Okay, you asked for it. Girls get pink slips, boys get blue. This will pair you up," he announced, passing one bowl to Tidus and one bowl to Rini. Kairi got 3. Rini got 1. Kira got 4. Selphie got 2. "No trading!" shouted Tora, catching Riku and Wakka trading numbers. "Alright, number ones, please stand up," sighed Tora, plopping down on the couch. Rini and Wakka stood up. (A/N: GASP! I know you are surprised that I didn't make Rini torture Riku?!?!?!!?) Riku looked relived. Rini hung her head, disappointed. Tora ordered them to sit in pairs and 'get to know each other'. "Okie dokie, 2s?" asked Tora, taking a sip of soda. Selphie and Riku stood up. Riku gave a nervous look to the others sitting down. Sora saluted him. Kairi gave Selphie a funny, wrinkled face. The two sat down and sighed. "Threes now," mumbled Tora, scratching her head. Kairi stood up and nearly fainted, Sora stood up too. She blushed and they sat down. "Well, at least we don't have to get to know each other," laughed Sora, trying to break the uneasy silence. Kairi blush and nodded.
Chapter 6-The Party-End
"Alright squirts the first activity is... Ballroom dancing!" announced Tora. (A/N: GASP! I know! It's Sooooooo not predictable!) There were groans and gasps from the groups. "It was Kira's idea, I swear!" shouted Sora after getting a few odd looks. Kira nodded and pulled out a large trunk. It was full of brightly colored dresses with names pinned to them. "Girls get the dresses and change. One in each bathroom, one in Sora's room and one in mine. Stow your clothes in there, too," instructed Kira, gabbing her dress and running upstairs into her room. Selphie and Rini ran to the bathrooms, so Kairi had to change in Sora's room. The walls were painted blue which set off the green bedspread and blanket. Kairi shrugged and changed into the lilac dress that was provided for her. It was a little big, with long, silky gloves and a sparkling violet sash. She waited upstairs by orders of Kira. Then, one by one, the girls slowly descended the stairs like in a fairytale. When Kairi stepped down, Sora was standing there looking embarrassed. Kairi laughed as he took her hand. Some looked like they were having a fun experience so far, as others looked like they'd rather run naked around the world than be there right now. "Okay, now I and Trella will show you your goal," laughed Tora, pointing to Tidus's older sister sitting on the couch. She had long dirty blonde hair and wore a pink dress. She smiled lightly and stood up. Kira moved the couch, table and armchair back toward the backyard door. Tora took her hand and they slowly whisked around the carpet. They danced slowly so all could see the steps. "Think you can do it?" asked Tora, sitting next to Trella. "Go ahead number ones," Rini and Wakka stood up and began to dance. Wakka seemed very happy, but Rini still looked sad. She had a dark blue dress and small wire opera glasses. She stumbled a bit near the end and nearly tripped on her dress. Everyone clapped as Selphie and Riku got up. They both seemed really happy getting up. Selphie had an orange dress, scarf and necklace. They were perfect but Selphie's dress was too long and she tripped and fell after the dance. Next was Kairi and Sora. Kairi blushed and they began the dance. She moved surprisingly well as did Sora. She didn't trip, fall or mess up, either. They all clapped as the embarrassed couple sat down. Kira and Tidus were next. Kira seemed to be an expert, so he just followed her lead. They didn't trip either, but Tidus was blushing the whole time. Trella and Tora looked at each other. "Well, hands down, Tidus and Kira are first place winners," announced Tora. "But, Kairi and Sora are a close second," "Just because they make such a cute couple!" exclaimed Trella with a giggle. Everyone roared with laughter except for Sora and Kairi.
Chapter 7- Crushes, Kisses and Bottles
Tora ran to the kitchen and got an empty bottle. "Everyone sit in a circle! He announced, twirling the bottle in his hands. Some gasped and some squealed but they all did as they were told. Tora placed the bottle in the middle. "Kira first, since she danced best," sighed Tora, leaning back on the couch to watch. Kira nodded and spun. It landed on Rini. "True or false?" asked Kira, pulling her knees to her chest. "Dare!" she exclaimed, pinching the carpet with her toes. "Give Riku a big smooch on the forehead!" laughed Kira, crossing her legs. Riku screamed. Rini grinned and crawled over to him. She planted a kiss on his forehead and giggled. Riku nearly threw up. Rini spun and it landed on Tidus. "Truth!" shrieked Tidus before Rini could ask. "Do you have a crush on Kira?" asked Rini happily. "...Yes..." sighed Tidus turning redder than a tomato. "Awww... Tidus I'm flattered!" laughed Kira. Tidus just blushed and spun. It landed on Wakka. "Truth, ya?" replied Wakka happily. "Do you have a crush on Selphie?" he asked. "No way man!" laughed Wakka shaking his head. He laughed and spun. It was Riku this time. "Truth or Dare, ya?" Wakka laughed, taking a sip of water. "Dare," he replied fearlessly. "Oh now you gone and done it man! You gotta kiss Rini, ya!" laughed Wakka. Riku shrieked. "Do I have to?" he pleaded, looking sideways at the gleeful Rini. Everyone nodded. Riku sighed, took a deep breath and kissed her on the nose. Everyone laughed but Riku. Riku just shook his head and spun. It landed on Kairi. "Dare, I'm feeling a mixture of not caring and happiness," announced Kairi, glancing over at Sora. "Okay! Instant revenge! Kiss Sora!" Kairi burst out laughing and put on a grossed out face. "Sora?!?!? Why him?" she asked, holding back laughter. "Because you made a cute couple," replied Riku firmly. Kairi giggled and kissed Sora on the cheek. She grinned and spun, oddly, it landed on Sora. "I don't feel like kissing anyone today. Truth" he mumbled. "Okay. Is it really true that the dancing was Kira's idea?" she asked, leaning towards him. "Kairi! Okay, yeah it was my idea," he sighed. There was uproar of giggles, complaints and yawns. "Okay, bed!" called Tora, marching people to change into pajamas.
Chapter 8-Sleeping Bags and Birthday Presents
Kairi was again in Sora's room. She pulled on her PJs, grabbed her sleeping bag and ran into the hallway. She set it down, sat on it and slid down, screaming and hooting. She rolled over on her head, still clutching the bag when someone tapped her on the head. She sat up and saw Sora peering over her. "Presents?" she asked, standing up and setting her bag between Selphie's and Sora's. She scampered over to the couch and sat on the left arm next to Riku. Sora pulled out a present clearly from Rini because it had plain white paper wrapping paper. He opened it and there were 14 shells glued together in a spiral. He grinned. "Awesome!" Sora cried, grabbing Riku's present. It was a wooden sword with a rubber handle and shells glued just about the handle. He grinned and thrust it forward. He almost reached for Kairi's, but then grabbed Selphie's instead. It held a square rug stitched out of dried pieces of seaweed. He grinned and set it on the floor. Selphie grinned and revealed fingers covered in pinpricks. Sora laughed and pulled out Tidus's. It was a painting of the paoupu tree. Sora smiled and set it down. He grabbed Wakka's and it contained 3 fish in a clear bowl with silver, purple and red rocks at the bottom. Sora was surprised, but grinned even so. He grabbed Rika next, and it was a book titled 'Hold Me". He grinned at her. "How did you know I wanted to read this?" he asked, setting the book down. "Because I caught you reading it, you ninny!" she laughed, dangling her feet as she sat on the arm. Sora opened his present from Kairi and gasped. She had gotten him a red charm bracelet. It had black letters the word "SORA" and had a charm of a yin-yang on either side. He smiled and snapped it on. "Wow! Thanks everyone!" he exclaimed, shaking his hand to hear the charms tinkle. Tora and Kira said goodbye, turned out the lights and went to sleep in their rooms.
Chapter 9-Riku Snores
"Move over!" groaned Riku's voice in the darkness. "Aye!" replied Rini. There was a scraping of sleeping bags. "You watch too much Chobits Rini," whispered Kairi. Selphie turned to Kairi. "Your dreams came true A while ago, didn't they? I couldn't believe how good a couple you too made. Are you going to tell him?" she hissed in an extra soft whisper. Kairi looked at her like she just came out of the asylum. "Are you mad woman? Tell him my DEEPEST DARKEST secret? The secret I've kept since I met him?" she hissed in a whisper only a little louder than Selphie's. Selphie donned a pearly white grin. "I know you both have a knack for sneaking out late at night. Speaking of which, you should leave after everyone else falls asleep," she whispered, adding a small giggle. Kairi sat up and looked around. Riku was on his stomach snoring. Tidus and Wakka were mumbling something in their sleep. Rini was asleep, slightly closer to Riku than before. Selphie grinned and pointed at the door. Kairi nodded and stood up. She sprinted across the hallway and ran out the door. Her bate feet pounded the soft sand. She silently stepped across the cold stone. She flung herself down and crawled in.
Chapter 10-The Fall
She ran down the narrow passage and tripped. Falling, she prepared herself for a hard, rocky landing. But, Something stopped her. She felt as if she were in midair. She slowly opened her eyes, getting her memories temporarily knocked out of her. She looked into the smiling face of Sora. She grinned. "Presents?" she asked, feeling her cheeks burn. Sora laughed and set her down on the rocky cave's floor. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "You know I'm an insomniac. Plus, I like to be alone sometimes," he replied. "Yes, but you know I always seem to interfere with that!" laughed Kairi. He smiled and nodded. Kairi placed her hand on the cold floor. Without realizing it, he put his hand on top of her's.
Chapter 11-Confessions Of Love
He gasped and took his hand away. Kairi didn't seem to notice, but he saw a hint of a grin spread across her face. "What's wrong?" she asked, turning to him. He blushed slightly. "Oh! Nothing, I just... My hand and yours..." he muttered softly. Kairi looked at her surprised. "But, if we've shared a paoupu fruit, why be so shy about a hand?" she asked, grinning. "Well, nothing really. I just feel, awkward doing that kind of thing," he replied nervously. Kairi looked confused. "But you kissed me. Why then?" she asked, moving closer to him. Sora blushed more. "Because I don't know if you still like me or not..." he muttered. "Sora, there's something you need to know," stated Kairi, looking at her feet. "What's that?" he asked, facing her. 'I've always had a crush on you," she sighed. Sora looked surprised. "That's funny, because I've always had a crush on you, Kairi," laughed Sora. "Really? You aren't joking?" she gasped. Sora nodded. Kairi leaned in and kissed him. Not a forced kiss like earlier, but a real kiss. She smiled. "I am getting sleepy. Let's go back," she yawned. Sora stood up, grabbed her hand and they ducked out of the cove, holding hands.
Chapter 12-Breakfast at Sora's
Everyone was awake and changed by 9:30 that morning. Kairi jumped on the banister and slid down. Sora caught her before she could slide to the bottom. While nobody was looking, he kissed her. She giggled and they both ran to the kitchen. Tora was flipping pancakes. Everyone was seated and chattering about something. She plopped down next to Selphie and an empty chair. Selphie turned to her. "Well, where did you and Sora go last night?" she asked, trying to smooth out her bedhead. "We went to the secret cave. I told him, he told me. We kissed. Nothing much to report on," replied Kairi, smoothing out her hair as well. Selphie gasped. "You kissed?" Kairi nodded. "Well Riku's snores woke everyone up and they saw you 2 were gone! I had to turn on the bathroom lights before anyone found out so they thought you were in the bathroom!" she hissed. Kairi laughed. "Thanks. Oh! And Sora kissed me this morning too," she whispered as Tora handed out pancakes. Selphie laughed and took a bite of her syrup soaked breakfast. For the rest of the morning, there were numerous jokes about Riku's snoring, the ballroom dancing and spin the bottle. Tora gave Tidus and Kira Best Dancer ribbons while Sora and Kairi got Cutest Couple ribbons. Everyone, even the cause of the jokes, laughed. And they all lived happily ever after, except for Riku because he still snores.

"Now what do we do?" she asked, bringing the bowl back to the kitchen and rinsing it out. "Lets play Candy Land!" suggested Rini. "Lets NOT" exclaimed Riku, Sora and Kairi. Kairi crawled off the couch and went to the games closet. "Hmmm... We could play Life... Or Monopoly... Or Mario Party... What else?" asked Kairi, turning around to look at her guests. "Do we have to play something?" asked Riku. Kairi shook her head and sat down. "So Sora, what all will we do at your party? And does Rini have to come?" she asked, crossing her ankles. "Well yeah, Rini has to come unless you want Selphie's sister to come! Well we are gonna swim, have a barbeque and do some classified stuff and those who want to will sleep over. But you have to sleep over to get to do the classified stuff," answered Sora. Riku nodded. "So Rini must come because you don't want Melbie to be there," he added, leaning back. "Who all will be there?" asked Kairi, uncrossing and re-crossing her ankles. "Lets see, Me, Riku Tidus, Wakka, You, Selphie, Rini and Kira will be there," replied Sora with a grin. "Who's Kira?" asked Kairi as Rini sat down. "Kira is my older sister. She doesn't really get out much. Oh and my way older brother has pretty much planned everything," replied Sora. "Well, Mom said would could only stay up until 9:00 and it's 9:30. I call Riku to sleep in my room!" announced Rini, hugging Riku. Sora and Kairi grinned "Whatever!" They all headed upstairs and fell asleep softly despite the fact that there were groans from Rini's room.

Chapter 4-The Party- Beginning
Sora and Riku returned home at 9:00 after a breakfast of sweet pancakes. Kairi and Rini spent the rest of the morning packing and deciding on what to do and bring at Sora's party. Kairi packed her black fireworks pajamas and a change of clothes. Rini brought her heart pajamas and a dress to change into. By noon they were packed, in their swimsuits and playing in the surf. Kairi snuck up behind Sora and dunked his water in the water. "Hey birthday boy!" she shouted when he came back up. Sora smiled and splashed her with water. "Nice to see you too! Where's your sister and brother?" she asked, wading in the softly rolling waves. "Kira is reading on the beach and Tora's playing lifeguard," laughed Sora, splashing water on the close-approaching Selphie. Kairi turned around. A short, pale girl with soft brown ringlets and green eyes sat reading on the sand. She looked over and saw a tall, tan and muscular boy with messy blonde hair talking to Tidus's older sister. Kairi turned around. "Wow! They look nothing like you!" she laughed, splashing water at Rini and Riku. Sora nodded. "Let's start the fun" He splashed Kairi playfully. Tidus snuck behind Sora and dunked him in the water. Rini splashed water on Riku and Riku dunked Rini in the water. Everyone was splashing everyone. It was so fun, even Kira had to join in on the fun. Afterwards, they held 3 races with 2 re-matches each. They were then all wet and hungry so Tora started up the grill. Everyone ate chicken to heir hearts content and sat happily on the sand. "What now Sora?" asked Selphie, making drawings with her toes in the sand. "Well we are supposed to anything for two more hours," replied Sora. "Well, then, tag, your it!" exclaimed Kairi, tapping Sora on the shoulder and running off. Everyone squealed and ran too, even Kira. Wakka tripped as he was avoiding a crab and got tagged. He immediately tapped Kira. She laughed and dove after Kairi, but instead got Rini. The game went on for another hour until everyone was tired. "Everyone should go in and cool down because if you are staying for the next part its about to get hot!" announced Tora, scooting everyone into the house.
Chapter 5-The Party-Middle
Tora passed out water to everyone and they all whispered about what they thought the games would be. Tora didn't let on any hints. Finally, he got out two bowls with pieces of paper in them. "Everyone, listen up and listen good because I'm only gonna tell you pipsqueaks once. All of those who may get uncomfortable or scared or nervous during interactions with the other gender should leave now because it's about to get hot. Vinegar soaked jalapeno hot," announced Tora grabbing two bowls from the kitchen. Nobody moved. Tora shrugged. "Okay, you asked for it. Girls get pink slips, boys get blue. This will pair you up," he announced, passing one bowl to Tidus and one bowl to Rini. Kairi got 3. Rini got 1. Kira got 4. Selphie got 2. "No trading!" shouted Tora, catching Riku and Wakka trading numbers. "Alright, number ones, please stand up," sighed Tora, plopping down on the couch. Rini and Wakka stood up. (A/N: GASP! I know you are surprised that I didn't make Rini torture Riku?!?!?!!?) Riku looked relived. Rini hung her head, disappointed. Tora ordered them to sit in pairs and 'get to know each other'. "Okie dokie, 2s?" asked Tora, taking a sip of soda. Selphie and Riku stood up. Riku gave a nervous look to the others sitting down. Sora saluted him. Kairi gave Selphie a funny, wrinkled face. The two sat down and sighed. "Threes now," mumbled Tora, scratching her head. Kairi stood up and nearly fainted, Sora stood up too. She blushed and they sat down. "Well, at least we don't have to get to know each other," laughed Sora, trying to break the uneasy silence. Kairi blush and nodded.
Chapter 6-The Party-End
"Alright squirts the first activity is... Ballroom dancing!" announced Tora. (A/N: GASP! I know! It's Sooooooo not predictable!) There were groans and gasps from the groups. "It was Kira's idea, I swear!" shouted Sora after getting a few odd looks. Kira nodded and pulled out a large trunk. It was full of brightly colored dresses with names pinned to them. "Girls get the dresses and change. One in each bathroom, one in Sora's room and one in mine. Stow your clothes in there, too," instructed Kira, gabbing her dress and running upstairs into her room. Selphie and Rini ran to the bathrooms, so Kairi had to change in Sora's room. The walls were painted blue which set off the green bedspread and blanket. Kairi shrugged and changed into the lilac dress that was provided for her. It was a little big, with long, silky gloves and a sparkling violet sash. She waited upstairs by orders of Kira. Then, one by one, the girls slowly descended the stairs like in a fairytale. When Kairi stepped down, Sora was standing there looking embarrassed. Kairi laughed as he took her hand. Some looked like they were having a fun experience so far, as others looked like they'd rather run naked around the world than be there right now. "Okay, now I and Trella will show you your goal," laughed Tora, pointing to Tidus's older sister sitting on the couch. She had long dirty blonde hair and wore a pink dress. She smiled lightly and stood up. Kira moved the couch, table and armchair back toward the backyard door. Tora took her hand and they slowly whisked around the carpet. They danced slowly so all could see the steps. "Think you can do it?" asked Tora, sitting next to Trella. "Go ahead number ones," Rini and Wakka stood up and began to dance. Wakka seemed very happy, but Rini still looked sad. She had a dark blue dress and small wire opera glasses. She stumbled a bit near the end and nearly tripped on her dress. Everyone clapped as Selphie and Riku got up. They both seemed really happy getting up. Selphie had an orange dress, scarf and necklace. They were perfect but Selphie's dress was too long and she tripped and fell after the dance. Next was Kairi and Sora. Kairi blushed and they began the dance. She moved surprisingly well as did Sora. She didn't trip, fall or mess up, either. They all clapped as the embarrassed couple sat down. Kira and Tidus were next. Kira seemed to be an expert, so he just followed her lead. They didn't trip either, but Tidus was blushing the whole time. Trella and Tora looked at each other. "Well, hands down, Tidus and Kira are first place winners," announced Tora. "But, Kairi and Sora are a close second," "Just because they make such a cute couple!" exclaimed Trella with a giggle. Everyone roared with laughter except for Sora and Kairi.
Chapter 7- Crushes, Kisses and Bottles
Tora ran to the kitchen and got an empty bottle. "Everyone sit in a circle! He announced, twirling the bottle in his hands. Some gasped and some squealed but they all did as they were told. Tora placed the bottle in the middle. "Kira first, since she danced best," sighed Tora, leaning back on the couch to watch. Kira nodded and spun. It landed on Rini. "True or false?" asked Kira, pulling her knees to her chest. "Dare!" she exclaimed, pinching the carpet with her toes. "Give Riku a big smooch on the forehead!" laughed Kira, crossing her legs. Riku screamed. Rini grinned and crawled over to him. She planted a kiss on his forehead and giggled. Riku nearly threw up. Rini spun and it landed on Tidus. "Truth!" shrieked Tidus before Rini could ask. "Do you have a crush on Kira?" asked Rini happily. "...Yes..." sighed Tidus turning redder than a tomato. "Awww... Tidus I'm flattered!" laughed Kira. Tidus just blushed and spun. It landed on Wakka. "Truth, ya?" replied Wakka happily. "Do you have a crush on Selphie?" he asked. "No way man!" laughed Wakka shaking his head. He laughed and spun. It was Riku this time. "Truth or Dare, ya?" Wakka laughed, taking a sip of water. "Dare," he replied fearlessly. "Oh now you gone and done it man! You gotta kiss Rini, ya!" laughed Wakka. Riku shrieked. "Do I have to?" he pleaded, looking sideways at the gleeful Rini. Everyone nodded. Riku sighed, took a deep breath and kissed her on the nose. Everyone laughed but Riku. Riku just shook his head and spun. It landed on Kairi. "Dare, I'm feeling a mixture of not caring and happiness," announced Kairi, glancing over at Sora. "Okay! Instant revenge! Kiss Sora!" Kairi burst out laughing and put on a grossed out face. "Sora?!?!? Why him?" she asked, holding back laughter. "Because you made a cute couple," replied Riku firmly. Kairi giggled and kissed Sora on the cheek. She grinned and spun, oddly, it landed on Sora. "I don't feel like kissing anyone today. Truth" he mumbled. "Okay. Is it really true that the dancing was Kira's idea?" she asked, leaning towards him. "Kairi! Okay, yeah it was my idea," he sighed. There was uproar of giggles, complaints and yawns. "Okay, bed!" called Tora, marching people to change into pajamas.
Chapter 8-Sleeping Bags and Birthday Presents
Kairi was again in Sora's room. She pulled on her PJs, grabbed her sleeping bag and ran into the hallway. She set it down, sat on it and slid down, screaming and hooting. She rolled over on her head, still clutching the bag when someone tapped her on the head. She sat up and saw Sora peering over her. "Presents?" she asked, standing up and setting her bag between Selphie's and Sora's. She scampered over to the couch and sat on the left arm next to Riku. Sora pulled out a present clearly from Rini because it had plain white paper wrapping paper. He opened it and there were 14 shells glued together in a spiral. He grinned. "Awesome!" Sora cried, grabbing Riku's present. It was a wooden sword with a rubber handle and shells glued just about the handle. He grinned and thrust it forward. He almost reached for Kairi's, but then grabbed Selphie's instead. It held a square rug stitched out of dried pieces of seaweed. He grinned and set it on the floor. Selphie grinned and revealed fingers covered in pinpricks. Sora laughed and pulled out Tidus's. It was a painting of the paoupu tree. Sora smiled and set it down. He grabbed Wakka's and it contained 3 fish in a clear bowl with silver, purple and red rocks at the bottom. Sora was surprised, but grinned even so. He grabbed Rika next, and it was a book titled 'Hold Me". He grinned at her. "How did you know I wanted to read this?" he asked, setting the book down. "Because I caught you reading it, you ninny!" she laughed, dangling her feet as she sat on the arm. Sora opened his present from Kairi and gasped. She had gotten him a red charm bracelet. It had black letters the word "SORA" and had a charm of a yin-yang on either side. He smiled and snapped it on. "Wow! Thanks everyone!" he exclaimed, shaking his hand to hear the charms tinkle. Tora and Kira said goodbye, turned out the lights and went to sleep in their rooms.
Chapter 9-Riku Snores
"Move over!" groaned Riku's voice in the darkness. "Aye!" replied Rini. There was a scraping of sleeping bags. "You watch too much Chobits Rini," whispered Kairi. Selphie turned to Kairi. "Your dreams came true A while ago, didn't they? I couldn't believe how good a couple you too made. Are you going to tell him?" she hissed in an extra soft whisper. Kairi looked at her like she just came out of the asylum. "Are you mad woman? Tell him my DEEPEST DARKEST secret? The secret I've kept since I met him?" she hissed in a whisper only a little louder than Selphie's. Selphie donned a pearly white grin. "I know you both have a knack for sneaking out late at night. Speaking of which, you should leave after everyone else falls asleep," she whispered, adding a small giggle. Kairi sat up and looked around. Riku was on his stomach snoring. Tidus and Wakka were mumbling something in their sleep. Rini was asleep, slightly closer to Riku than before. Selphie grinned and pointed at the door. Kairi nodded and stood up. She sprinted across the hallway and ran out the door. Her bate feet pounded the soft sand. She silently stepped across the cold stone. She flung herself down and crawled in.
Chapter 10-The Fall
She ran down the narrow passage and tripped. Falling, she prepared herself for a hard, rocky landing. But, Something stopped her. She felt as if she were in midair. She slowly opened her eyes, getting her memories temporarily knocked out of her. She looked into the smiling face of Sora. She grinned. "Presents?" she asked, feeling her cheeks burn. Sora laughed and set her down on the rocky cave's floor. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "You know I'm an insomniac. Plus, I like to be alone sometimes," he replied. "Yes, but you know I always seem to interfere with that!" laughed Kairi. He smiled and nodded. Kairi placed her hand on the cold floor. Without realizing it, he put his hand on top of her's.
Chapter 11-Confessions Of Love
He gasped and took his hand away. Kairi didn't seem to notice, but he saw a hint of a grin spread across her face. "What's wrong?" she asked, turning to him. He blushed slightly. "Oh! Nothing, I just... My hand and yours..." he muttered softly. Kairi looked at her surprised. "But, if we've shared a paoupu fruit, why be so shy about a hand?" she asked, grinning. "Well, nothing really. I just feel, awkward doing that kind of thing," he replied nervously. Kairi looked confused. "But you kissed me. Why then?" she asked, moving closer to him. Sora blushed more. "Because I don't know if you still like me or not..." he muttered. "Sora, there's something you need to know," stated Kairi, looking at her feet. "What's that?" he asked, facing her. 'I've always had a crush on you," she sighed. Sora looked surprised. "That's funny, because I've always had a crush on you, Kairi," laughed Sora. "Really? You aren't joking?" she gasped. Sora nodded. Kairi leaned in and kissed him. Not a forced kiss like earlier, but a real kiss. She smiled. "I am getting sleepy. Let's go back," she yawned. Sora stood up, grabbed her hand and they ducked out of the cove, holding hands.
Chapter 12-Breakfast at Sora's
Everyone was awake and changed by 9:30 that morning. Kairi jumped on the banister and slid down. Sora caught her before she could slide to the bottom. While nobody was looking, he kissed her. She giggled and they both ran to the kitchen. Tora was flipping pancakes. Everyone was seated and chattering about something. She plopped down next to Selphie and an empty chair. Selphie turned to her. "Well, where did you and Sora go last night?" she asked, trying to smooth out her bedhead. "We went to the secret cave. I told him, he told me. We kissed. Nothing much to report on," replied Kairi, smoothing out her hair as well. Selphie gasped. "You kissed?" Kairi nodded. "Well Riku's snores woke everyone up and they saw you 2 were gone! I had to turn on the bathroom lights before anyone found out so they thought you were in the bathroom!" she hissed. Kairi laughed. "Thanks. Oh! And Sora kissed me this morning too," she whispered as Tora handed out pancakes. Selphie laughed and took a bite of her syrup soaked breakfast. For the rest of the morning, there were numerous jokes about Riku's snoring, the ballroom dancing and spin the bottle. Tora gave Tidus and Kira Best Dancer ribbons while Sora and Kairi got Cutest Couple ribbons. Everyone, even the cause of the jokes, laughed. And they all lived happily ever after, except for Riku because he still snores.
