The Surgery took 7 hours. Everyone stayed, clogging the waiting room, waiting to hear news of Mercedes status. Bosco had felt horrible for what he did to Mary. But he was so mad at what she said. She knew Mercedes, and knew Mercedes never gave up. She didn't during her Anorexia, and she didn't when they were children. He just sat, unmoving during the entire surgery. No one knew what to say, and no one was sure if she would make it. On the 7th hour the Surgeon came in, grim-faced and physically exhausted.

"Boscorelli family?" The doctor called as he stopped after the door closed behind him. Maurice jumped up and moved to the doctor. Rose had gone home and Mikey stayed with her. She couldn't handle the waiting. Faith, Kim, Jimmy and Carlos walked behind Bosco. Doc, Walsh, and Alex went for coffee. Swertzky, Lieu and Christopher went back to Ground Zero. Bosco waited for the doctor to talk.

"Mercedes made it through the surgery. She crashed two times, and I'm surprised she made it through 7 hours. She is in a recovery room and will be moved to Surgical ICU as soon as she is completely stable. It is touch and go. The next 72 hours will be critical. With the extent of her injuries, If she makes it out, it will be a miracle. At this point she has a 20/80 chance. I'm sorry."

Bosco sighed and started to sob once again. "When can I see her?"

"As soon as she is moved to a room. I will send a nurse when that happens." With that the surgeon disappeared behind large oak doors. The wait seemed endless. Unable to get comfortable, Bosco paced, making everyone else more worried.
