I looked around, unsure of where I was. I saw nothing but a wall, or a ceiling. I sat up and stood up, looking around, only to see myself laying on a gurney. I ran from the room, not believing this. I ran through a set of oak doors and ended up in front of everyone I knew from work. Looking back at the doors I wondered how I did that. When I turned to face the group, I saw Mo. Running to him I stopped, looking down at him.

"MO!" I yelled at him, but he didn't answer. I try to poke him, but he doesn't flinch. Actually, my hand went through his arm. I jumped back, unsure of what happened. I wave my hand in front of his face and he never even acknowledged me. I close my eyes, and feel a rush of air. I open my eyes to see Bobby standing in front of me. How can this be he's dead? I look up at him and his smile and ask him where I am.

"Your dying, Adie. I have come to help you adjust to that." Adie.. god I hated that nickname.. He was the only one I let me call me that because of our long history of friendship. Mikey knew his brother, and I knew him. We both tried to keep our brother's clean.. it never worked. "I can't die! It's not my time. No way!" I look for Maurice, but he is nowhere in sight, nothing is. I look at Bobby, shaking my head. I want to go back. I'm not finished with my life yet."

Bobby looks at me, the smile turning to a smirk, and he takes my hand. And guides me to a white area. I go with him, not knowing what is going on as we walk for what seems like forever. We stop at a playground, looking around I almost fall over. I see Bobby, Bobby's brother, Maurice, Mikey, and myself as kids. I was about 7, Maurice was 12, and Mikey was 10. I am watching us playing basketball.

"Oh yeah!" Maurice and I slap hands as we hit the 19/20 jump shot.

"Lucky Shot! Come on Mikey, Lets get em!" Bobby yells as the ball is tossed back and forth. Maurice jumps up and saves it, but Mikey trips him. I grab the ball before Bobby can get it, flooring him. I jump up and get the 21/20 shot winning the game.

"YES! Nice going Love!" Maurice runs at me and hugs me. I just beat a 10 and 13 year old in basketball. I am 7. I jump and down screaming hysterically, as our father pulls up. We instantly stop jumping as we see his car.

"GET IN THE DAMN CAR NOW!" He screams as we look at each other.

Bobby jumps to our entire defense. "They aren't going anywhere with you! Shove off"

This pisses Anthony off, and he gets out of the car, Little Mercedes is cowering behind Maurice as their father storms up to Bobby and moves him by force. Grabbing Mercedes by one of her pigtails he lifts her off the ground, almost slinging her over his shoulder. He grabs Maurice and pulls him to the car by the neck and Mikey follows.

"Let them go!" Bobby runs at the car and throws the basketball at it as the car speeds off.

"Why did you show me that?" I look at him, kind of mad, but its still Bobby. I have had a crush on him since that very day. I have always admired the kind of courage he had. It just like Maurice's, only, he had a better attitude in some departments. Bobby just stared at me and I doubled over as a pain hit me in the chest. Bobby stared at me as he faded and felt something grab me.
