Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece, all belongs to Eiichiro Oda and I am
just borrowing his characters.
Note: Well, I guess the protagonists are a bit OOC. I tried me best to characterize them but still it won't fit, sorry for that.
Black Hearts
Water flows straight, unaware of his destination
A hot wind is blowing, the crew seems lazy and tiered and I guess I can not blame them for this.
My head is aching like somebody smashed it against a wall; I won't be able to be doing much
this day and somehow it makes me feel like I am going old.
Not old in relation to age, it is far more like; I have seen to many things and grew a bit tired of
them. Of course, if I told it somebody else, he would make a good laugh of it, maybe it is
quiet funny.
After all I feel like I have not seen enough of this chaotic, interesting world but also there are
a few situations I have been trough, which mark yourself and change you, maybe not directly,
but they were enough to make you think of a few things more.
The captain felt a warm, strong hand on his shoulder. "Are you dreaming away?"
He looked up to the tall man. "Not really, I am just trying to arrange my thoughts, but
somehow it does not want to function."
"Tz, have you considered the fact that you have not slept past the last twenty-four hours."
"You may have a point there, still I remember a guy, which many parallels to you, who
pointed out loud, that sleep is waste of our valuable time."
"I wonder if he is not only a fiction of your tortured brain."
"You will not stop mocking me, Benny, won't you?
"By now you should know what happens to you, if you use one of your pet names."
"Come on, be honest, we have lots of painful work right in front of us."
"While you held your inner monologues, I gave the instructions to our men."
"Well, that are good news, I wonder what I would do without you."
"Answer that to yourself, since you seem to have so much fun of being lethargic lately."
Although Ben did not appear upset, he could guess that he was anxious because of the nearer circumstances. "Our Spy will meet us at Logtown, if everything used to work the deal is going to be a child's
play. See, at normal this is my part. I have never seen you so worried about nothing."
"I have told you before, how foolish this transaction is I won't repeat it again and again."
He grinned evil. "Just because you do not trust anybody else than yourself, others do not act similar.
See it is a chance to make easy money in a short time; it is perfect for our low budget.
You know, we are better in spending our cash as in earning it."
"The whole situation wouldn't be that worse if you could control yourself just a bit more, than a slightly mad animal."
"Eh, we are coming to the point aren't we Benny? It is always interesting that we need to have the same conversations all over to realise that there is particularly one sweet, annoying aspect
in the mission which sucks you."
"We both knew a path which depends on incompetent calculations is leading nowhere else
than in deep ruin and you from all of us, you should know that best."
He closed his eyes; he did not move until Ben turned round and left him alone.
