Sacrifice
I remember him well. He had sacrificed his life for me. Yes, it might have been a game for us, but for him it was real.
I sit by his stoned over body hoping, just hoping he will come back. My tears fall to the ground.
"Why, Tsukasa? Why?" I ask the statue of him.
I was alone now. I wished for so much in "The World", but now all I got is pain and suffering.
I wonder...who was that cat character and why had the Guardian attacked me?
I stand up, picking up my sword and putting it on my back.
I hope Bear is all right. I wasn't sure if he logged back on after his fall. I send e-mail, hoping he will reply. I start to slowly walk away from his body, but I cannot leave. He had saved my life from a horrible creature and I can never forgive myself if anything happens to him. I fall back down to my knees. Then, that cat player returned.
"Who are you?" I asked it.
It talked, but only in my head, my mind.
"I am Maha. I help Tsukasa," it told me in a voice that was almost a whisper.
"Then, why did you attack us?" I asked, as wondered why this player was here in the first place.
"Because Tsukasa is in danger and we, the Guardian and I, thought you were an enemy. Apparently you're not. He risked his life for you and that is how we have found out you are a friend," Maha told me in kind whispers.
"Will he be alright?" I asked teary-eyed, as looked at his body.
"Yes, yes he will."
"Umm...thanks. I guess," I managed to reply.
Maha bowed its head and gated out to who knows where.
I stood back up as I received an e-mail from Bear.
'He will be alright,' I thought as I gated out leaving his body behind.
