"Naruto," plea the young man, "I have to work now."

"B-but Iruka-sensei!!" cried a blond boy, "you promised…"

"We're going next time, okay?"

"You said that the last time you cancelled the dinner!" The boy wouldn't let his argument down, he's looking forward for today's event. "Why are you fired-up anyway about this night-shift!? It couldn't be more important than this!"

Iruka let out a desperate sigh, he must have forgotten something, this is Naruto he's arguing to.

"Well, Naruto, it'll help us to fill our basic necessity in life." He tried to use another… word for what he is lack about right now.

"What the hell is the 'basic necessity' anyway?"

Iruka couldn't help but to feel rather annoyed. Well, he has a life. Naruto has a life. And to live that life, they just need this one thing… and he kinda has a short of-

"It means money, dobe." A call out of nowhere suddenly came to them and unsurprisingly startled the two.

"Good evening, Sasuke." Iruka greet one of his ex-student.

"What are you two doing here anyway? The sun's almost down, and you're in the middle of the street." Sasuke said. Rather amused with the way Naruto tried to win this stupid argument.

"Sasuke! It's none of your business!!! Shut up!" Naruto yells.

"I was passing by and heard your stupid voice, and my house's this way." Sasuke simply stated and smirk at him.

Iruka sweatdrop. -_-;

It was rather obvious that Sasuke had lied. Apparently, this Uchiha descendant is quiet affectionate by a certain stubborn blonde boy. It's true his house's this way. But that means he had taken the long way. I mean, it's like going to your neighbor's house that's only two houses from you by surrounding the entire block. A bit stupid, but he must have known that Naruto don't know where his house is. Nice one, Sasuke.

"You have a house?" asked the dumbfounded fox-boy.

"You baka! Of course I have a house!"

"Well, I lived in an apartment. And so does Iruka-sensei. Must be fun, e, Sasuke?"

Sasuke don't know whether to talk back or not. Indeed he has a house. The house his parents left for him. Actually, it's for Itachi, but since his older brother had mysteriously gone and believed to be a psychotic stuck-up bastard somewhere, the house, clearly, had fallen to his aid. And Naruto doesn't have many friends who would invited him to come over to their house.

"Nah, it's a mess."

Iruka couldn't believe his ears. Sasuke had just deliberately talking to Naruto.

"Maa, what have we here?" another familiar voice came from behind.

It's Kakashi.

The Stalker. (1)

Naruto, when he caught a glimpse of this Sharingan man, turned to the before conversation. "Kakashi-sensei, please tell Iruka-sensei to stop working even if it just a couple of hours."

Kakashi seemed interested in the subject mentioned: Iruka.

"What's wrong with that?" he looks over to Sasuke, who's only shrugged and to Iruka, who is embarrassed in a way, and Naruto, who keeps on babbling about something that doesn't make sense. About how works slowed your sensitivity and shorten your life.

And then, the real problem came.

"Iruka-sensei promised to take me out to dinner tonight, he promised it weeks ago but he keep cancelling it all the time because of his overloaded work." Pouted the boy, "and then, saying that he needs to fulfill this 'basic necessity' or something."

Iruka turned bright red. He must be embarrassed about his 'private-not-so-private-again' problem.

"You need money?" Asked confused Kakashi.

"Kakashi…" muttered Iruka, with one hand covering his face, "please." He sounds serious but anyone could see his neck is still red from blushing.

Suddenly, Naruto spoke, "Na, na, Iruka-sensei, you don't have to pay for me anymore. I can take care of myself."

Sasuke, who never knew the problem was, surprised. Money? Is it that important? Well, he certainly realized that his family is wealthy, he never had any problem with money. Besides, the village's foundation pays all orphans living cost until they're old enough to find a job. So it's more like seventeen or so. But what his parents left for him is enough for the next ten or so years, even without all the helps.

"I'm old enough to find a job. I'm 15, I can do it. You don't have to worry about me that much anymore, K?" Though the boy is a bit sad, he forced a smile.

Iruka stay silent for a couple of second and then, he raised his head, his childish blushing face was already gone, replaced by sharp eyes, looking right to Naruto.

"No." He stepped forward and put his hands on Naruto's shoulders. "You are my responsibility."

Naruto never knew Iruka could be in this kind of mode. You know, the serious type you can't mess with.

"Anyway, I like doing it." Iruka smiled hit the kitsune's head. "So don't worry and go home now."

The boy smiled, "Next time you're in this kind of shit, tell me. Don't lie." He pointed his finger at his 'sensei', "You owe me a dinner!"

"And, I'm sure Sasuke can buy you some ramen tonight to replace Iruka." Cut the Sharingan voice, "Right, Sasuke?"

If Sasuke wasn't such a stoic bastard and didn't know about Kakashi knowing his 'secret', he could've widen his eyes and blushed.

"…yeah, sure."

"Woo, maji?? (really??) for real? Thanks man, I don't have much allowance left."

The boy who don't understand the situation between a certain dark-haired boy, who is now silently threatening his sensei, beaming in joy.

'You tell him and you die.' The eyes said the unspoken. Kakashi raised both of his hands, 'I won't.' and though Sasuke can't see his face, he can tell that the man is smirking.

"Come on, dobe."

"Stop calling me dobe, shithead."

And they left. Their voice still can be heard but after a few seconds, completely gone.

"So are you gonna walk or what?" asked Kakashi. Waiting Iruka to move, which he's not and still looking at the way Naruto and Sasuke disappeared.

"Sasuke has a crush on Naruto?" The brown-haired chuunin dumbfounded.

"You can't tell? For ages! Iruka, you must come on practice day, even blind man can feel the aura around those two. It's just Naruto's brain and sensitivity aren't sharp enough to digest it." Shrugged Kakashi and dragged him away, "You can stare at them later."

So they walk.

"You're having problem paying for two?" The Sharinggan man spoke, startling Iruka.

"No, I usually don't. But I had some big outgo for the past month, paying rents and stuff, and Naruto hospital care when he fell down from the third floor." (2)

"Yeah, it was a big ruckus. Sasuke was nearly had a heart attack. It was funny to remember."

"Yeah, and when I see the bills, it could caused me one too. I was swearing to kill Naruto afterwards."

They laughed.

When the laugh stopped, Kakashi turned to him, "really? Was it that expensive?"

"Well, not really, but I don't have as much salary as you do, Kakashi."

Suddenly Kakashi talk, "You know, you don't have to pay everything for Naruto. The Hokage will take care of it. The village has that rule. You can save some for yourself, you know."

"I know, I just… Naruto is like my brother, Kakashi. Understand that. I can't let someone pay for my family. Besides, I'm telling Hokage to save his share so he can have them when he's grown up. Just as a stake. Who knows, he might need the money, he doesn't have anyone else. When the time come, and we get separated, as in I can't pay for him anymore, and of course I can't spoiled him when he can have a job."

"Wrong." The team 7 sensei speaks, "In the future, there will be Sasuke paying for him."

Iruka finds it funny. "Yeah, it'll be nice, huh? So he won't have to struggle so hard to have something to eat like I did." He released a raw laugh.

"It doesn't sounds funny, Iruka." Said Kakashi, and Iruka knows so.

"I know, I know, it was a joke." Cheered the man, "Ah, we're here. Oh, do you have something to do also?"

"No. I'm taking you to work. At night like this you can't be more prepared than an Anbu to watch over you."

Iruka blushed.

"You know," Kakashi stated, "You can always come to my place and I'll feed you."

Iruka firstly confused, but then he understands, this whole situation, all the comforting atmosphere within him, "No. I'd rather have someone with discipline to feed me. Otherwise, I may have to pay for him too." And grinned at Kakashi.

Kakashi was surprised but then he realised it too and smiled, "We'll see about that. Goodnight, Iruka."

"Night, Kakashi."

In the morning, the biggest day of the history happened, the memorial day, the day when people, especially team 7, cannot believe would come true.

Hatake Kakashi arrived on time.

"Well, what are you staring at? The end of the world is still far away from now." The Jounin laughed. "And Sakura, you can close your mouth now."

End.

A/N: Anybody get what I mean???? No???? Yes?????

I was sick and this idea came out of blue and I wrote it while laying on the bed, hopeless while waiting for my porridge. T_T being sick sucks big time.

Okay, perhaps the line "Come to my place and I'll feed you."

Anybody get what I mean? Well, if you don't, means he's offering Iruka to come to his place to stay, or another word, unromantic proposal. Because when you're married, usually the man would work and feed the family.

And Iruka said, well, you can read it up there, he kinda accepted it with a condition. ^_~ Y

Okay? Okay?

So in the morning, Kakashi was on time. To show some 'discipline' Hehehehe…

(1) Sorry, sorry, forgive me! But you know, Kakashi do like to appear somewhere so sudden… it was a joke. Kidding. I was kidding. No offend for Kakashi's fans

(2) Come on, sorry, I had to make him broke.

Ja'na!
