Spike, Gunn, Wesley, Angel and Illyria were fighting a huge herd of vampires. Spike was using a crossbow. Spike looked at Angel. He wanted to kill Angel. Spike aimed the crossbow at Angel and fired. Angel exploded into a cloud of dust. No one but Spike noticed.

When the fight ended no one could find Angel. "I bet he went to Italy to see Buffy," said Spike.

"I think you are right," said Wesley. "I guess you are in charge of Wolfram and Hart now, Spike."

"Thank you," said Spike.

He kept the crossbow on his mantel in a special case from that night on.
