The X-men aren't and are likely to never be mine.

Rogue had finally found a place to spend the night. She was scared. It was really dark and the strange night sounds sent cold shivers up and down her spine. She reached into the glove compartment and found a flashlight and the other letters. She opened up the envelope and began to read.

Scott, Logan, Storm and Jean all sat outside. The moon was full and the dark sky was filled with stars.

"Do think this'll happen to all of us?" Jean asked. Everyone shrugged. They had no idea whether or not it would.

"Maybe it would be a good thing if it did." Logan said.

"How could that be a good thing?" Jean asked as she leaned in towards Scott's warm body.

"Well. If none of us had powers, there would be nothing to fight about. We wouldn't be dangerous." They all thought. If Logan was right and it did happen, there would be a chance at living together and not in a mansion miles from the city.

Rogue felt a tear slip down her cheek as she read the letters. She had always liked Logan, but she didn't think that he felt the same way. Rogue sighed.

"I have to go back." So she hopped back on the bike and drove at super speed back to the mansion.

The four mutants had been sitting in silence for a long time. They stared up at the stars. It was so beautiful and so peaceful. All they could hear was the sound of the crickets. Nothing else. All the students had gone to bed except for one. That one was making her way back to the one she adored.

"Look." Scott pointed towards a shooting star. They all stared at it and silently they made their separate wishes. But it was only Logan's wish that ever came true.

Off in the distance, Logan listened as he heard the faint noise of a bike approaching them. Eventually the sound was louder and headlights could be seen. Logan knew instantly who it was. He ran off into the darkness.

"Marie." He whispered as he watched the young girl get off the bike and leap into his arms.

"How are you?" Rogue asked as they walked over to the garage.

"I've been better. But definitely been worse." Logan stared into her eyes; she looked so happy, to be with him and he was happy to be with her.
