Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha. Do you think I'd be writing measly
stories on Fanfiction.net if I did? -_-;
The great canine Lord of the West groaned softly, turning over to escape the warm light that touched his magenta-stained eyelids. The morning had come all too quickly; shortening the time he had with his other half. Eliciting a small yawn, the demon opened his golden eyes to the world around him.
From behind him came a low grunt and a rustle, as his companion stirred awake as well. Sesshoumaru risked a small smirk at his partner's groggy movements, chuckling inwardly. Why he had chosen such a mate, he would never know.
Sitting up, the crescent-marked Lord scanned the area for his discarded armor. Last night, all was forgotten in a blur of hasty movements and heated passion, so his clothing had been scattered to gods-knew-where. Spotting the articles, he pushed himself upward to retrieve them, only to be brought back down again by a forceful arm around his waist.
"Where are you going...?" Inquired a muzzy voice. "My armor and kimono..." He replied. "And I suggest you take your leave soon." A sigh. "Why...? Do you want me gone...?" "You know all too well that your acquaintances will get suspicious if you are away for too long." The voice repeated itself. "Do you want me gone?" "I did not say that. You know that if it was possible, I would let you stay with me..." A satisfied "hmph" was the only reply. The arm removed itself from around Seshoumaru's waist, and the demon Lord got up to recover his belongings.
The entity behind him also stood, and dusted itself off. "You're right. I should be going..." Sesshoumaru simply nodded and heard the other slowly retreat into the depths of the forest. "Until next time... Inuyasha."
