Summer time
by b1otts
summary: Lily kisses Sirius and Sirius kisses her back, and for awhile they're able to forget that she's supposed to be a good girl and better girlfriend, and he's supposed to like boys, not girls.
A/N: This is really disjointed and strange, a odd little drabble I wrote while in a [un]creative mood. It's my first story in this style, so I hope you enjoy it. And yes, Sirius and Lily do drugs in this story, and do naughty things even though their romantically involved with other people, because I am the author and therefore what I says goes ;). Review, and leave feedback please. But no flames. :)
------
Experimentation, Sirius tells her, is what being sixteen is all about.
She laughs, smoke curling from her nose, rolls over to smile at him. He laughs too, throwing his head back and giggling until tears run from his eyes, the way she wishes James would. The grass underneath her itchs slightly and she wriggles, trying to get comfortable.
Sirius turns over and looks at the sky, and she asks him what he's thinking about. For a moment he just breathes, in and out, in and out, before saying, stuff.
She smiles and sits up, starts to braid his too-long hair with daffodils. What kind of stuff, she asks, wondering if it would be bad to kiss him right now.
He shrugs, sending a shiver down her spine, and says-- y'know. Remus, and James, and why the sky is blue, but the grass is green, and why things can't stay like this forever. She laughs, imagining them old together in a field on a sunny summer day, and says, sometimes it's better not to think.
Sirius tilts his head back to look at her with tired blue eyes, and says yeah, the smell of musty herbs sweet on his breath. Yeah, she agrees.
He rasies his arms, then, and pulls her down, ignoring her squeals of half-hearted protest. For a few minutes they roll around in the grass, accidentally crushing the last of their herbs in the tussle, making the air around them smell musty and sweet. She ends up sprawled halfway across his chest, and she knows he planned for it to turn out this way, but she doesn't care beecause it's summer, and they're sixteen, and nothing could be better than this moment.
Lily kisses Sirius and Sirius kisses her back, and for awhile they're able to forget that she's supposed to be a good girl and better girlfriend, and he's supposed to like boys, not girls.
Aftwerwards, of course, they'll both be embarassed and red-faced, and agree to never mention it again, but for now it is enough.
