Against All Odds: Part II
Emma Nelson and Manny Santos came to school, still oozing from the confrontation the day before. Ever since Emma caught Manny with Craig, she's been mad and feels that Manny is betraying Ashley. They shared almost all of their classes, one of them was Computers. They almost always sit next to each other, but Emma decided to sit next to JT, possibly the only boy which she wouldn't be rumored of liking. The two happened to bump into eachother at the hallway. Emma started it all by saying, "Look who's bumped into me, little miss carbon whore!" Manny then threw a punch that struck her. Emma made a loud scream. Everybody heard it and ran to the scene, where Toby tried to break it up. Before he could subdue them, he was punched by Emma and collapsed with a bloody lip. He looked at them with disdain. Both Emma and Manny were sent to Mr. Raditch's office.
Craig went to the lunchroom and sat next to Spinner, Jimmy, and Marco. The foursome were cracking jokes about each other, until the topic of girlfriends came up. "Now why haven't you tried to spin it with Hazel?" Spinner said. "Why haven't YOU tried to spin it with Hazel?" Marco snapped back. "First of all, I have Paige. Second of all, you're dating her brother, now seriously, why are you talking to me about girls?" Spinner bit back to him with the consistency of an iguana. "I'm going to stay single until I have the time and the proper teachings to love people after the whole situation with Ashley," Jimmy said, focused. "That is so 2002!" Marco said. "Just ask her out." "I'm not going to, yet," Jimmy said, trembling. "Hopefully, yet's going to be in two minutes 'cuz she's heading for you right now," Craig said. Hazel walked up to Jimmy. "Pardon me," she said before pausing. "But I need help with my social studies homework, and I heard that you're a really good student." "Ok", Jimmy said. "Thanks," she said before walking away.
"Why do you always have to get into these strange and unusual situations?" Mr. Raditch asked sternly to Emma and Manny. "This is more confusing than geometry!" "You have no reason to be mad because its all my fault," Emma said. Mr. Raditch and Manny looked at her, stunned. "You sure are," Manny snapped back. "Enough with this!" Mr. Raditch said. "The both of you are suspended for a week. You should be lucky about this, because you could have been in a police station, being charged with battery." Both of them stormed out of the office, looking at each other with evil glares and smirks. "You are the biggest liar I have ever known," Emma said. Manny flipped her the bird and stormed off.
Emma went home to see Spike, mad and obviously pissed, scolding her. "How could you give Toby a swollen lip and punch Manny? You don't even have a bad bone in your body, for God's sake!" she said. Emma started to tear up. "It's not my fault that my ex-best friend was sleeping with a taken man in my bed! It's so sad to sleep there now, because the only thing I see there is sluttiness!" Emma cried. Spike was flabbergasted. "What?! You should have told me rather than break a cheekbone," she said. "I couldn't, because I have a friend that I love-" "A friend that you hurt! Go to your room right now", Spike yelled. Emma left up the stairs, pausing to stare at her.
