Summary inside point of view: Rae and Kai have been in a horrible accident! Kai is in a coma and Rai is wondering what he should do. Does he love Kai so much that he doesn't want to leave him? That's when Rai's twin sister Avalon (Ava) comes into help matters. RaixKai R&R
Breathe Once more
Rai's POV
It was raining again! The soft pitter patter against the window made a rhythm against the hospital windows. I didn't remember anything that I was on a train going home to my apartment with Kai when something happened. What though? I just can't seem to remember. Why was I here? My head was pounding with pain and my I couldn't move my ribs. When I tried to move my leg it hurt like hell! Where was Kai? Is he ok? Where were the others? My thoughts were interrupted by the nurse at that moment.
"Rai Kon you have a visitor, do you want to see them?" Asked the nurse
"Yes that would be great!" I replied enthusiastically
"Great!" she gestured a hand towards the door and a young girl about my age walked in. Actually she looked just like me too! Same long black hair in a wrap, same Chinese style clothing and had a bandana just it was blue! Was she a copy cat or an angel sent to help me out? I needed all the help I could get!
"So" I wanted to start the conversation off "Why are you here? You not the press?"
"No I'm not and think for a moment" she paused for a moment "What do I look like?"
"My twin?" I guessed
"B-I-N-G-O!" She replied waving her finger back and forth "You got it! I'm your twin!"
"What's you name?" I whispered
"My name is Avalon Zyleen Kon" she said proudly
"Ok, you already know who I am what your purpose is?" I asked
"Ok I'm your angel that has come to save you ass bro" She puffed
"Fine... tell me where's Kai?"
"He's....He in the ICU (Intense Care Unit for dumb people like BESD)
"Really? Why?"
"He was injured on the train" she sighed "Are you dumb or not smart?"
"I hate your stupid remarks!" I whispered
"Why thank you now maybe I won't help you!"
"No please... Don't..." I couldn't finish
"Why?" she lifted her eyebrow up
"Because...I lo- I love him!" I said barley audible."
"Well that changes things. I help you."
"Thank you"
"Oh just a minute let me get my reinforcements." She said as she walked to the door and waved her finger to someone outside.
"This is my good friend Ty and the other is Shai!
The two girls stepped into the room looking around. There was nothing to see except the bed, window and a small dresser and me. The girls were beautiful the first had darkly tan skin and chocolate eyes. Her hair was two different colors blonde in the front and brunette in the back. She wore choral black pants and a long cotton jacket that was burgundy. The other was hard to explain; she had sapphire eyes and wore her blue and white uniform saying BTS on it. That must be the school they go to. She was a blonde with brown and red. I wonder if they are going to help. Or are they going to hurt me. Oh well hopefully they'll help.
"Rei meet Shai and Tyranna, they are going to help you with me." Ava said
"We better get something out of this?" Shai mumbled
"Be happy that we are helping someone!" Ty yelled at her "Don't be ungrateful!"
"Fine"
"Besides you are helping someone special to me." Ava whispered softly "My brother..."
"Why though? I have no siblings?" I stammered "Or I can't remember..."
"That's ok we were separated when we were only two..." she said "That's when mother..."
"When what?" I asked "When Mother what?"
"When your mother died..." Shai interrupted "And your father separated you guys... he said that it would be better for-"
"Look I don't want to talk about it!" Ava looked like she was about to cry "Do you want to go see Kai now?"
"Sure" I replied
"This way" Ty said softly I'll bring you to him and tell you about how you and Ava were separated so young.
On the Way to see Kai with Ty and Rei
"Ty, why does Ava hate to talk about her past and how our mother died?" I asked
"Well it only happened when she was so young. When she was all alone in this world. She was only two; she had a friendship with you as it stood as a wall that could not be broken. Your Father adored you he only wanted a boy, you Rei! But when Ava came too. He had a strong hatred for her. She tried so hard to be like you and she looked up to you. But no matter how hard she tried, he still hated her. Your Mother loved both of you equally and said no matter what you would be together till the end. That fateful day when your mother died, your father took advantage. He took you and packed up your stuff and went on your way. He left Ava to be a street rat to steal and life off almost nothing. She was beaten, tormented and was only left of thoughts of hatred. One day a church found her on a side street in Russia unconscious and bleeding, they taught her and slowly her hatred almost left. The church was bombed, she was the only one to survive and since she has gone cold. You won't see her go soft her eyes will stay a cold gray/blue until.... One day she will realize that there is someone out there just for her." She finished
"That's it then... How sad" I said gloomily "But how did you know that?"
"Yah I was there in the church.... Then that's when we became good friends."
"I see now, and she was looking for me all this time?" I asked
"Ai." She simply replied "This way."
"Is this were he is..." I couldn't finish, I just read the sign, and looking at Ty and the sign again it read "ICUT (Intense Care Unit for Teens)
"Yep you got it! Go in!" she shoved me into a small room with lots of machines and wires, tubes and medicine. There was a small window with the drapes covered it. A small bed in the middle of the room, with a small table beside it. It seemed to have something on it, maybe a beyblade, I just thought for a moment; would he be ok or would he die? What would happen to me? I hardly can remember what happened. All I can remember is that the train going of the tracks and Kai wrapping his body making a human shield. He risked his life for me. Does he love me like I love him?
"Well aren't you going to sit down? It looks like your going to faint!" she said
"Ok" as I sat down
"I'll leave you for a half an hour then I'll be back!"
"OK, bye"
"I never caught your name what was it?'' she asked as she slowly walked out the door
"Rei, its Rei"
"Ok Rei, I'll be back in a half an hour." She trailed off as she went out of the door.
"Oh Kai please don't die, you protected me with your own body to help me." I paused "Do you really care? Please wake up soon!"
"Rei? Is that you? I'm glad that your alive." A weak voice said
"Kai? You're awake! I'm so glad! But how?"
"I guess Dranzer protected me, He didn't want me to leave yet." He paused for a moment "I also saw an angel with long black hair who told me to hold on to my life because their was a guy who really been fond of since he saw me. She didn't tell me who, but I'll find out."
I just blushed at his comment, "Yah someone. Some one- Kai?" He fell back asleep, I'm just glad that he was awake and he's alive."
"Done Rei?" A sweet voice came up behind me.
"Y-y-yes"
"Did I scare you?" She asked
"Just startled me, that all." I yawned "Kai woke up for a bit then fell back asleep."
"You look tried, let's get you back to your room and you can get some rest."
"Ai."
"Ava will watch you."
NEXT DAY
"Rise and shine sleepy head it's already 11:30 am you slept a lot." She sighed
"How long exactly?" I asked
"Since 6:30pm yesterday, you do the math bro!"
"But I'm hurt"
"Doesn't mean your brain ain't working" She yawned
"True, point taken."
"Do you want to see Kai now he's awake and well?"
"Better than me?" I chuckled
"Nah, four broken ribs, a broken arm and leg, that's all. Oh and some scars."
"What do mean by OH AND SOME?" I asked
"Let's go see him!" She grabbed my wrist and literally dragged me to Kai's room
"Kai?" I whispered softly "Are you there?"
"Yes Koi (Means "LOVE" in Japanese) I'm here. Come in." he said calmly
"I'm so glad your ok."
"Same with you." He smiled "I know that you love me, why didn't tell me before."
"Because..." I started "I was scared you would hate me."
"No I'd would have loved you back, that's why. Why other did you think I would protect you?''
"I don't know'' I trialed off in my sentence
"It's ok, I know you love me know, so everything will be alright!" He said cheerfully
"Yah and you can breathe once more." I kissed him slightly his lips brushed mine, they felt like silk cloth.
"Come on I know that you can do better than that!" he chuckled
At that moment when our lips were millimeters apart, Tyson came bursting in, asking if we were alright and what happened.
"What about our kiss Kai?"
"I'll give it to some other time were we always can breathe once more." He whispered into my ear.
"He Tyson, can you go out side and thank a girl with long black hair for all she's helped me with."
"But Rei there is no girl outside!" He replied peeking out the door
"Ah I think you've seen the hospital ghost, she haunts the halls helping others with love." The nurse said "Don't worry she's friendly and just wanted you and your friend making him breathe once more."
"I'll always appreciate her for helping us and I would like to say goodbye to her." I said walking out of the room.
"So you found out my secret!" A sweet voice said from behind me. "And I'm NOT dead, the nurses like to tell tales about me!"
"Ava!" I whispered "I just wanted to say thanks and-"
"SO is he a good kisser?" She asked
"What?" I flushed a deep crimson
"I said is he a good kisser?"
"Ava, that's none of your business!"
"Is that a yes?" she asked annoyed
"Fine yes!"
"Oh I really got to go, here's a poem, keep it with you, bye" She ran off
"Wait!" I screamed
I unfolded the piece of paper it said:
Keep it together
Don't get lost
Keep to your goal and don't get caught!
If he's dying
