Everyone always assumes that Scott craves peace, security, and freedom from pain and threats of an unusual nature. Everyone assumes he wants to be married to Jean and raise their children peacefully. Scott invariably just smiles and strikes the expected pose and says something suitably humorless and aggreeable.

But, the problem is, it isnt true.

Scott craves excitement. Scott craves the feel of things going as he plans them in the middle of chaos. Scott craves pure excitement, when his handicap becomes a talent and he becomes almost a God.

It is his most closely guarded and his secret shame.
