A Poem of Friendship
'I see you...sitting...
Shining there...
Gazing...calling...
Oh so fair!
Please, just leave me;
Hateful thing!
It has changed me:
The Golden Ring.
'It sees me...thinking...
Admiring its shine.
Wondering...fearing:
"Is it mine?"
I loose all hope,
And wonder 'bout the end.
But then I see Sam...smiling
And I remember: "I have a friend"'
Through this tale
A lesson we may learn:
'Through sorrow and gladness
And unexpected turns,
When we cannot go on,
When we cannot bend,
We can always find comfort
In a friend.'
Dedicated to my 'Sam' who has helped me more, and in more ways, than she
could ever know.
