AN: Just another Blake/Tori fic this one popped into my head when I was watching the episodes for the millionth time. Takes place directly after the last episode in Return of Thunder.
They're now rangers and we'll be working side by side, and now I'll be seeing him more often.
That thought went through Tori Hanson's mind as she watched the others welcome the two new rangers, but she was thinking of Blake. She had always been regarded as the practical one but she was still feeling anger and humiliation for the way Blake had used her.
Blake and Hunter had worked for Lothor after they had been abducted and believed their parents to have been killed by their Sensei; Tori believed Blake to be a good person and was sure he liked her, she had even thought he was attracted to her, she was to him although she never said it out loud.
Then he pretended to be hurt and she had swallowed the bait and their Sensei had been abducted. Tori had remembered when Blake came to say goodbye after the truth had been revealed. She also remembered how happy she was when she saw him again only to learn he and Hunter were soon back under Lothor's control.
Now they would all be rangers together and Tori wanted to get past all her anger but it was hard. Soon the rangers split up and went to pursue their individual interests. Tori left thinking about surfing.
"Tori wait up!"
She turned as Blake came beside her, "what do you want?"
Blake heard the anger in her voice and saw the mistrust; he didn't blame her one bit.
"Tori I'm sorry for everything that's happened, it was Lothor's mind control."
"Not when you used me to get into Ninja Ops it was your own free will."
"I believed you and the other rangers to be our enemies, I'd give anything to take that back."
"Well you can't and now that we're going to be rangers we'll have to learn to tolerate each other."
"Tori I'm ready to do anything to make up for it."
"Well you can't and I'm done being fooled by you and anyone else, I'm so glad we had this chat." Blake watched her walk off feeling defeated and a renewed anger at Lothor.
"I'm sorry I hurt you Tori" he knew she was angry and he didn't fault her for it, but someday he vowed, he would make things right.
