Chapter 2: Faith in you moves
Monday afternoon, all the girls filed into the gym from their locker room while Houjun ran from the other side of the athletics hall. Genrou took roll as usual and gave everyone a new place to sit, all the while, making sure Houjun was somewhere in front.
"Afternoon class! Hope ya all had a great weekend and hope yer read for the start of our lesson! So first off, has anyone here been to a dance club?"
No one raised their hands and Houjun looked around helplessly. He was going to regret this....He raised his hand and earned surprised looks from everyone. Genrou smirked.
"That's a first! So Houjun, you would know how to dance to techno, j-pop, and other types of music played at clubs, ne?"
Houjun nodded numbly. Long as Genrou didn't ask him which club it was, he would be fine....
"Great! Then I'll probably use you for some examples. That ok?"
"S-Sure.."
Genrou grinned at Houjun and then started teaching the class, using Houjun for examples when needed just as he said. Weeks went by and Genrou found that Houjun really knew what he was doing. It was amazing!! Although....some of the moves Houjun could do caused....problems....(A/N: yes, you may think hentai thoughts....)

"Alright class, tomorrow is your skills test. Go home, go over all of yer terms, and don't forget to practice! See you tomorrow!"
The girls filed out and Genrou walked over to Houjun before he could leave.
"Hey, Houjun, can I talk with ya?"
"Y-Yes sir..."
Genrou smirked. Poor Houjun, he seemed intimidated and nervous...
"Don't worry! Yer not in trouble for anything! You haven't even made one mistake! I just wanted to talk to you about something..."
Houjun nodded an ok and followed Genrou to his office. He took the offered seat and began to fidget with his hair nervously.
"First off, you're an awesome dancer! It's a fact that no one will ever deny. You definitely know what you're doing in all the examples. Which brings me to my next thing, I found this flier for a dance competition and I really think you should compete in it...."
Genrou handed Houjun a bright, neon colored paper and he read over it.

Then we need you for this competition!
All alternative dancers are wanted to compete against one another in
showing off some of the hottest moves and some new ones! Prizes will be
given out!
Winner receives scholarship and $350
Sign up today!

Registration fee: $35
Place: Starrs 'N Skyy Dance Bar
Houjun's eyes widened as he saw the location of the contest. It was the same bar he worked at. This probably wouldn't go over well with his boss....but he really could use that scholarship and the money....He looked up at Genrou who seemed to have a pleading look in his eyes.
"Well I don't know sir...."
Houjun, you really should think about it. I seriously think you could win. And if you need any help with coming up with a routine I'll be your coach if you'd like! But just think about it for tonight and you can tell me your answer tomorrow.....alright?"
Houjun nodded and got up , carrying the flier. Genrou seemed to have a lot of faith in him....maybe he should give it a try....but first he'd have to ask his boss if he'd be allowed to compete....
