Another new fic? Just a one-shot. Well, honestly, I'm trying this one to see if I can get out of my block… yes, I am under the spell of the annoying writer's block – though I am not a writer at all, never mind.

So, waffy? Maybe. Rurouni Kenshin? Of course. KK, ne… just read and figure it out. :P *running away as fast as I can*

See ya soon. I hope this block goes away so I can finish the short story I posted weeks ago (by the way, I have the ideas in mind, I know the ending, the problem is… I don't know how I can type it down!!!). *sigh*

Awaited Moment

Do I love you enough? Do you love me enough?

I really don't know

I look at you and I receive no answer. Is it good? Is it bad?

How many unsaid words, how many unshed tears because I know we can't be together, but… Can we try?

Can I hope? Can I believe that you really care for me? That when you look at me with those eyes, is… is because you worry for me – like them – but you worry for me because you love me?

Can I dare to wish? Can I dare to say that I am right?

Tell me, my heart is sinking into this deep ocean of sorrow, of uncertainty.

I know I am not perfect; I know that my past is stained, cover with mud and dirt. I don't deserve you…

But I still need happiness; I still need love. Someone by my side.

I need you.

As the sun is still shining in the sky, and we're here, standing in this field together, my hand reaches yours nervously. I am afraid that you may reject me, leave me alone.

But you don't push me away; you turn your face and smile at me.

You accept me.

"What took you so long?" You ask me, your eyes glowing at the so awaited moment.

I didn't know…

"I'm sorry, I wasn't sure." I didn't know, but now I do. You love me back.

"Let's go, kitsune. They're waiting for us to come back." You tell me, still holding my hand, squeezing it lovingly.

"Let's go, roos… let's go, Sano." You look at me in shock as I call you by your name. You smile again and kiss me on my nose.

We walk back… to home. Together.

I didn't know, I wasn't sure, but now I do. I know that you love me, despise all, you love me back.
