Author's Note: This chapter was going to be much longer but it was too long
for my liking. Sorry if you have a problem with that but it's the way I
work. ^_^ Keep reviewing please.

After Bailey finished dressing into his work clothes, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that someone was still asleep in bed. He decided that it would be nice and neighborly if he gave "him" a wake up call. He walked over to her bedside and made a noise like a trumpet. "Shine n' rise, sleepy head! You can't sleep the whole day away now, can you?"
Logan groaned, sitting up slowly and rubbing her eyes. She was already dressed in her orange suit, taking the precaution of not being seen in her true form. Glancing to Bailey, she gave him a slight glare. "Oh be quiet..."
"That's the spirit!" He smiled heartily and then skipped off and out the door to get his shovel while Logan followed.
Bailey still had the smile on his face as he stood happily at the end of the line, which he had been pushed back to. Logan found people were a bit friendlier towards her today. Most of them at least. She picked up a shovel after Bailey had and raised an eyebrow at it.
ZigZag had been standing behind her. "Hey, You shouldn't take THAT one... It's X-Ray's."
"I like this one." She said in a cold tone. "He can fight for it, if he really wants it."
He just laughed in response before taking his own shovel and walking towards where they last dug their holes. Logan seemed a little lost and followed after ZigZag quickly.
X-Ray got to the front of the line only to find his shovel wasn't there... Someone must have a lot of guts for taking HIS shovel... He turned around and jogged up to Race. "I think I'll just take this BACK." He grabbed onto the back of the shovel and yanked it out of her hand.
She turned around. "Finders keepers..." Logan grabbed the shovel as the two tugged at it.
X-Ray growled and raised his fist to punch her REALLY hard when someone else caught it behind him.
"Now now... We'll have none of that." Mr. Sir said in his raspy voice before handing a smaller shovel to Logan. "That suits you better."
Logan gave X-Ray a threatening look before walking off.
The Texan sun began to rise over the mountains, illuminating the sky with an eerie glow. Logan had never seen such a sight n San Antonio. She loved the lights of the city but here the sunrise took her breath away. Logan forgot about her real task at hand until someone tapped her on the shoulder. Turning around, she found ZigZag looking at the sunrise as well.
"Pretty, isn't it, Race?"
"Yeah, its okay."
"We'd better get to digging now before we get in trouble." ZigZag nodded. "Let's go."
"Do you always look at the sunrise, ZigZag?" Logan asked.
"Sometimes." The paranoid boy replied.
"Kind of soothing.."
"We REALLY should get to digging, Race."
"It calms you down.."
"Hey!" ZigZag shouted and caused Logan to jump out of her trance. "Geez, don't get all mushy on me."
"Sorry." Logan said as she grabbed her shovel.
ZigZag gripped his own shovel tightly and shoved the front of it into the dry ground. He pushed down, lifted a load of dirt and tossed it aside. Logan imitated the he held his shovel as best she could. She pulled back and thrust the end towards the ground. Instead of the smooth sound of separating dirt, her shovel made a 'clink' noise. Pulling her shovel back, Logan noticed that it had only made a dent in the ground.
Her eyes grew wide. "What if someone sees this and thinks that I'm a wimp?"
She pulled back her shovel even farther and struck the ground again.
Clink.
Logan started to panic. At the sound of the second clink, ZigZag had looked up. "What's wrong?"
"Uh.. I must have hit a hard spot." She stammered.
"It's all 'hard', Race." ZigZag laughed.
Logan laughed nervously in reply.
She anxiously searched around for a better spot. Seeing a small area that was darker than the other dirt around it, she figured it might be easier. She went over to it and struck her shovel into the dirt. It only went half way into the ground but it was enough.
"There you go." ZigZag smiled at her efforts. Though poor as they may have been, digging at camp Greenlake for beginners was never really easy to get used to. He laughed a little to himself and then began to dig his own hole again.
