"Hey, Lucas, what're you doing?" Haley asked Lucas.
"Nothing, thinking how much I miss our old life. I miss the old me. Look at me. I'm in this as Brooke would put it "Love Rectangle Plus One" you know?" asked Lucas.
"Yeah, I do." said Haley.
"Haley, I think I am gonna quit the team and try to get parts of my old life back." said Lucas.
"Do you wanna quit?" asked Haley.
"I dunno, but I think Nathan was right when he said I don't fit in this crowd." said Lucas. "I love basketball. I just can't handle the pressure. I can't handle this whole Brooke/Peyton thing, when the only person I really wanna be with is you. I really do think I am gonna quit."
"You wanna be with me?" Haley asked.
"Yeah, I do." said Lucas.
"Well, I mean, what about Peyton?" asked Haley.
"Screw her. She had her chance to be with me. Now I'm all yours if you want me." said Lucas.
"I want you." said Haley. Lucas kissed her. She kissed back. They ended up laying on the bed making out. Karen walked in and saw this. Haley pulled back real quick. Karen was laughing. "We were just. We were... uh... just talking."
"Haley, it's all right. Really, you two look great together. Now, I'm gonna go. Bye, Haley. Bye, Lucas." said Karen.
"Bye, Karen." said Haley.
"Bye, Mom," said Lucas. Karen left. "Now where were we?"
"Right about here," said Haley, kissing him. About a half an hour later, Karen called them down for dinner. They got situated and had chicken parmesan.
"Mom, I was thinking, um... I am thinking of quitting the team." said Lucas.
"Do you want to quit?" asked Karen.
"No, I just want to go back to my normal life though." said Lucas.
"You can have that and stay on the team. But if you wanna quit you can." said Karen.
"Maybe I won't, thanks Mom." said Lucas. He grabbed Haley's hand and kissed her and she kicked him. "Ouch, you wanna go out, or do you wanna abuse me?"
"They both sound like so much fun, hmmph, let's go out." said Haley.
"Wait, Lucas, Nathan called. Said he really needed to talk." said Karen.
"Haley. Stay here. I'm gonna see what he needs I'll be right back." said Lucas. He kissed her.
"Bye." said the two girls.
Lucas called Nathan and Nathan told him to come to his house. He knocked on the door and Deb answered and let him in. Dan moved out. He went into Nathan's room.
"Nathan, what's up?" asked Lucas.
"Well, I was thinking of quitting the team." said Nathan.
"So was I, but my mom talked me out of it." said Lucas.
"Why did you wanna quit?" asked Nathan.
"Well, I wanted my old life back." said Lucas. "Why do you wanna quit?"
"Because, I'm sick of my dad. The game isn't even fun anymore. I am just sick of the same old stuff all the time." said Nathan.
"You know what, let's go on a vacation. Take off school for a week or two and go to Florida." said Lucas.
"And our parents will let us do that?" asked Nathan.
"Yeah, why not, we'll explain. Me, you, Haley, and Tim can go." said Lucas.
"Why not?" said Nathan.
"Yeah, well, just to let you know, me and Haley are going out." said Lucas.
"You two are meant for eachother. That is awesome." said Nathan.
They got it cleared with their parents and they were allowed to go. Nathan's mom owned a house down there and their plane left at 3:20 pm. Tim was so excited. So was everyone though.
"Ya'll ready?" Tim screamed.
"Yeah," everyone said.
"We're gonna take my car." said Nathan.
**Down in Florida**
"We're here," said Nathan.
"Awesome." said Tim.
They went in the house. There were three bedrooms, but Lucas and Haley were gonna take the master bedroom and Tim and Nathan were gonna take the other two.
