Summary: On a Sunday afternoon, InuYasha sneaks off looking for a
fight, while everyone else sleeps. He runs into a fire demon named, Jinx,
who is working for Naraku. InuYasha fights him only to be pummeled into the
ground, close to death and clutching Tetsuagia.

"Damnit..." InuYasha could feel his power draining, along with his life. His face in the dirt he couldn't move, he could scarcely feel the Tetsuagia in his hand. Then a new energy entered the area, he could sense it. It was...vaguely familiar.
"Given up halfling?" Jinx laughed as he stood over InuYasha's broken body, "Naraku assured me a good fight, yet I have lost interest already. Shall I end your pain now?" He laughed, throwing his head back in arrogance, and shaking his blue hair into the wind. Then a dagger slashed through his back and he cried out in more surprise than pain.
"What the?" He turned toward the new attacker, just as InuYasha was straining to pull himself off the ground. It was a girl, with fiery red eyes, and white cat ears admits her long brown hair. She held two daggers, each stained with Jinx's blood. Jinx growled, and threw a fireball at her. She dodged it quickly, did a midair flip and kicked Jinx in the face.
"Let's play shall we?" she said slashing at him quickly. Jinx dodged and pulled out his spear, "You will pay for that wench!" She smiled, showing pearly white fangs, "Come get me then!"
As they clashed InuYasha watched in a stupor, he didn't like that fact that he was being saved but he also didn't feel much like complaining. Sniffing the air, he noticed that she carried the scent of a half-demon...and something else. Hearing Jinx scream, he looked over quickly. She had jammed her daggers into his eyes, leaving him blind. He had just pulled out the daggers when she pulled out a huge blue sword and cut him in two. Then she turned toward InuYasha.
He stood and held Tetsuigua in front of him, "I don't know why you saved me back there, but if it's a fight you want then you got it." Surprisingly, she put away her sword and daggers.
"What no thanks for saving you?"
"Feh." He was about to say more, but his legs gave, and he fell toward the ground. In a flash she caught him, "Besides, you're in no condition to be fighting anyone, Inu."
"What did you just call me?" He twisted away from her, and fell over. She sighed, "Stubborn as usual. Let me help you."
"Yeah, right." he said sarcastically, and pointed Tetsuagia at her when she came closer, "I'm fine, ya hear me?"
"Sure you are." Completely ignoring his sword she tapped him on the forehead, "Sleep." InuYasha fell over, dead asleep, the sword falling from his hand. She sheathed it, picked him up and went to find Kagome.
