I was going through some of my old papers and I found this little tidbit. I wrote this after I saw the end to Escaflowne the movie. I saw the series long before I saw the movie and was hoping for a different ending. My friend (Subtle1) and I were pissed, so I wrote a little something during S.S.R. at school. Well, this was the result. Honestly, what girl in her right mind would give up a man like that? I mean she loved him, he loved her, so WHAT WAS THE DAMN PROBLEM?! Err . . . sorry. Enjoy. ~ Sharys ~

Disclaimer : (sigh) Is this really necessary?

Hitomi stands happily with her friend Yukari, apparently chatting mindlessly at the day's events. They were walking home together, as usual. The sky is blue, the sun is shinning and everything seemed perfect in the Land of Hitomi. You would never even think that she left the love of her life on another world, and then gave him her necklace, which by doing so prevents her from ever returning to him.

The two giggling teens stop at the sudden appearance of two unfamiliar young women. The taller of the two had her wild hair pulled in a low ponytail and was of Chinese decent. The other was a brunette with glasses and a pewter dagger pendant that dangled from her neck. Both were wearing jeans and plain black t-shirts.

Both looked severely agitated.

In perfect unison they approach Hitomi and Yukari. They strangers glare at one girl in particular.

"Are you Hitomi?" the Brunette asks.

Hitomi blinks. "Yes . . . but-"

"YOU IDIOT!" the strangers shriek.

Then, before she even had a chance to react, Hitomi was pounced on. After a flurry of violent movement the strangers walked off, a very unconscious Hitomi in tow.

Yukari blinks as they move out of sight. "Hitomi . . . ?"

Soon, the two . . . err, three girls were standing in the recently-rebuilt Fanailia palace.

And in front of a VERY confused king I might add.

Van stared at the strangers before noticing Hitomi. Being ever the rash king, he drew his sword. "Hitomi! What did you do to her?!"

"Oh, shut it before we do it for you." Slinging the unconscious girl over her own shoulder, the Brunette turned to her partner with an evil grin. "Did you remember, Subtle1?"

Subtle1 grinned back. "But of course! Shall we do it now, Sharys?"

"Yep. Charge!" The girls pounced for the second time that day. Dust from who-knows-where rose in a monstrous cloud, as violence ensued.

Not five minutes later the two black-clad girls disappeared from Gaea altogether, and when the dust settled it revealed two unconscious figures handcuffed together.

The stone pendant was nowhere to be seen.

A.N. : Not one of my best works, but certainly my shortest. Jeeze what boredom can do to you . . . . Well, review if you like, if not (shrugs) just as well.
