SUMMER LOVE
Ding Dong!
"Lily, get the door!" a woman with blonde hair and green eyes shouted from the kitchen.
"It's Domino's. Why do I have to, anyways? You never make Petunia get it." The girl named Lily complained, getting up to open the door. Lily Evans has wavy dark red hair that reaches her waist and emerald eyes like her mother's. She had been busy reading a book before being interrupted by the bell.
"You know that Petunia is in a rebellious stage. She will never do it and you'll have to get it anyways." Her mother answered.
"I know. I know. I'm the good girl." She opened the door and on the threshold stood her least favorite person.
James Potter had messy black hair and sparkling hazel eyes that were currently shining with mischief. "I wouldn't say so, Evans. Remember those five detentions?" he said, grinning.
"Shut up. Those were your fault, Potter. Back when I was stupid enough to trust you. I don't even know why I did." Lily snarled, narrowing her eyes. In her eyes, James Potter was nothing more than a bullying toe-rag that wouldn't leave her alone.
"Lily. Behave." Her mother warned her. "James, how are you? Where are your parents?"
"I'm fine, Mrs. Evans. They are supposed to come but needed a couple of things from Diagon Alley." James said in the polite voice that drove Lily crazy. He was such a troublemaker, but as soon as an adult was present, he adopted that well-mannered voice, earning besotted smiles from all the adults in the area. He came in and sat down next to Lily. Immediately she moved on to the chair across the room.
"Lily. Be nice. Sit by James." Her mother said. Rolling her eyes, Lily sat back down next to James. It seemed like her parents and the Potters were always trying to get James and Lily together. How she hated their matchmaking! Just why couldn't they be friends and stop always setting her and James up.
"Lils." James started, calling her by the nickname that she hated. "What's new?
"Nothing. And don't call me Lils. If you ever do it, I'll curse you into oblivion." Lily threatened, scooting away from James.
"Alright, Midgy-Lily. So, how are Dezi and Lizzie?" he asked referring to Lily's best friends. Dezi Curovick had brownish-red hair and blue eyes. She was the mischievous one, the rebel. Lizzie Moore was the sweet one that all the boys loved. She had blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Don't. Call. Me. That." Lily said, thorough clenched teeth. "They are fine. I was supposed to meet them today, but you ruined our plans."
"Don't worry your pretty little head. They can still come here. I don't mind having two more cute girls here."
"Shut up."
"Make me.
"I will."
"I'd like to see you try, Inferno.
"Zip it, Four-Eyes."
" Four-Eyes? That's the best you can do? Pathetic."
"Moron."
"ENOUGH! Really, you two. Can't you be civil to each other for once?" Lily's mom, Samantha cried, exasperated.
"He started it"
"She started it." They said at the same time.
"I don't care who started it. Just be nice to each other for one." Samantha said.
Ding-dong! The bell rang again.
"That must be your parents, James." Samantha said, getting up to open the door.
