Ginny's pov
~*~
I took a deep breath. The cool morning air felt good. It was very early on a Friday morning. Nobody was awake. No one in their right minds would be up
at 5 am. I was dancing, spinning around the lake. This was the only place where I didn't feel invisible. I started to sing::
I need a place where I can go
where I can whisper what I know
where I can whisper who I like and where I go to see him
I need a place where I can hide
where no one sees my life inside
where I can make my plans and write them down
so I can read them
a place where I can bid my heart be still
and it will mind me
a place where I can go when I am lost
and there I'll find me................
A voice behind me made me stop. I whirled around and saw Draco Malfoy.
"Yes?" I said. I braced myself for an insult. It never came.
"That's a pretty song," he said. He turned around and left.
I stood there, my mouth partly open from shock. He sounded so sincere. The little voice in my head told me that maybe he was never
really mean. Maybe it was his father. Now that he's dead, maybe-
' Get a grip, Ginny. This is the guy who made your family's life a nightmare! This guy's father gave you the diary that posessed you.
Ron hates his guts," I thought. But still . . . . . . he's hot, especially when his hair isn't gelled back.
I looked after his retreating figure then headed back up to the castle.

Draco's pov
As I tramped back to the Common Room, one question remained echoing in my head. ' Why did I do that? Why did I do that? Why did I do that?'
I never answered it. I sat in the Common Room until breakfast, thinking about Ginny Weasley. Don't ask me why. I knew the answer to that question.
I just didn't want to answer it.
A whiny, squealing voice broke my reverie. " Drakie! We're going to be late for breakfast!"
I groaned inwardly. " Pansy, go away. I'm busy."
" No, you're not!" She pouted. " All you're doing is staring at the wall."
Her screeching reverberated in my ears. " Go away."
She grabbed my arm and dragged me up to the Great Hall for breakfast.
Ginny's pov
I stayed in my room until breakfast. I waited until I heard everyone else go down, then stumbled out of my bed and went. I sat down and started
to eat a piece of toast. Five minutes later, the dream team came in. Ever since they defeated You-Know-Who they received all this publicity and their heads
have swollen three times its normal size. Colin began taking pictures rapidly as Harry sat down. Cho Chang rushed over from the Ravenclaw table and they
started snogging like two snoggers on snogging pills. Harry didn't even stop long ebough to throw me his homework. He made me sick. I sighed and started
writing. Next year, I'll probably whizz through the curriculum. I finished just as breakfast ended. I took my toast and rushed to class. My daily moring routine.
Moning classes dragged on. During break, I went out into the courtyard. It was silent. I walked around.
" You really should stand up to him," said the same soft voice I heard this morning. For the second time that day, I turned around to face Draco Malfoy.
" I know, " I whispered, fully aware how close together we were standing.
