It Only Took A Minute

Author's Notes: The title is just some random title I thought of. And I know the first chapter was short. I'll make it up in this chapter. Thanks for the reviews! Just saw Slackers on TV, I like it! I think I'm gonna find it on DVD. Devon Sawa sort of reminded me of Tom Felton. Hehe.

Disclaimers: I will be able to own Harry Potter on the day purple pigs with yellow spots will be able to fly.

Chapter Two – Meeting The Couple

The next day, Lily hurriedly got up from her bed and ran into the bathroom, stripping off her clothes. She hurriedly took a shower and placed on some clothes. She had on a baby pink blouse, white skirt and white sandals. She brushed her flaming red hair and applied make-up on her face. She grabbed her bag and rushed downstairs. She hauled a cab and went to work. On the way, her cell phone rang.

            "Hello?" Lily answered

"Where are you? Joanne's been expecting you for like…10 minutes ago!" Kylie told her over the phone.

"I know! I overslept and now I'm stuck in traffic!"

            "Can't you run to work?"

"I'll try striding. Why is Jo expecting me anyway?"

"James and his fiancé are here!!"

"WHAT!? Okay, I'm sticking to the traffic. I'm not rushing to work just to see Potter's face!" Lily shrieked

            "It'll cost you your job…"

            This made Lily think.

"Fine. I'll hurry" Lily hung up, opened her purse and handed the driver money, "Here. You can drop me off here. Thank you"

Lily got off the cab and made her way down the streets of London. About 7 minutes later, she rushed inside the building and took the elevator. While inside, she fixed her hair and placed on some lip gloss. As the doors opened, she went directly inside Joanne's office.

"Sorry, I'm late" she blurted out

"Ah, and so she arrives" Joanne said

            "Got stuck in traffic"

Before she strode in Joanne's office, she already noticed James' messy jet-black hair peering through the clear glass door. Beside him was a girl who had blonde hair that went a bit past her shoulders and soft brown eyes. She had a slim figure and her body was covered in a red blouse and khaki Capri's. James pretty much still looked the same; his infamous hair and hazel eyes behind thin glasses.

"Lily, I want you to meet James Potter and Lisa Sullivan" Joanne said

Lily smiled at them and shook their hands along with a, "Hi".

"Anyway, Lisa here would like to discuss to you about the wedding"

Lily sat across them and began listening to Lisa; avoiding making eye-contact with James.

"As you know, I want a garden wedding. But it seems that I can't find the perfect garden to hold the ceremony. Any ideas?"

"Well, let me show you an album of our successful garden weddings"

Lily stood up, went towards a gray file cabinet and took out an album that had "Garden Weddings" engraved in silver lining on the magenta cover. She walked back to her seat and sat down, opening the album.

"Here. I think this one's perfect"

Lily handed Lisa the album. On the page, it showed a garden surrounded with flowers of different size, color and type. A beige fountain stood in the middle of everything. The garden was in a circular shape, only it had some aisles to lead people in other directions. Overall, it was beautiful and perfect; Lisa was awed by it.

"I'll take it" Lisa said, happily

            Lily smiled at her

"Isn't it beautiful?" Lisa asked James

"Not as beautiful as you" James said, smiling down at Lisa

Lily cringed but held it back.

"Why don't we visit it tomorrow?" Lily suggested

"Oh, I can't. I'm visiting my grandparents in Paris together with my parents. And I'll be back in a week."

"Oh. That's too bad," Lily paused for a while and was about to add something when Lisa cut her off.

            "Maybe James could accompany you"

Lily opened her mouth to protest but looked at Joanne. Joanne gave her the look, 'don't-even-think-about-it'. Lily immediately shut her mouth.

"That would be fine…" Lily said, hiding the sarcasm and protest off her voice

"Great! James will drive you. What's your address?"

Lily wrote down her address on a piece of paper and handed it to Lisa who gave it to James.

"He'll pick you up in around…11am"

"Okay" Lily gave Lisa a smile. Great, now I have to spend a day…no, a week with Potter. What a lovely day. Lily sarcastically thought.
